[G] [C] [Bb]
[C] [G]
Hey, it's Bobby Bones, and so we [Bb] have been on a big old [G] road trip from Los Angeles [C] to now Oklahoma.
[Am] [Gm]
So, we're going to go to Blake Shelton's ranch, and we're all going to sit around and play [G] music.
There's always a lot of sharing stories, and I think that's where [D] the best songwriting comes [C] from.
Just the stuff that you won't get to [G] see or hear anywhere else.
I can't wait.
Hopefully, you can't wait.
I think this is going to be a once in a lifetime experience.
You're out in the middle of nowhere, but when you drive into the town, [D] it's like your town.
Because one, you open up O'Red, and just open, it's the flagship restaurant.
Mostly I just wanted it to be [G] like a roadhouse type vibe.
[F] I think we [G] did that.
[D] We [G] filmed a video for She's Got A Way With Words in the actual [G] restaurant part of O'Red
before it was just an old abandoned dentist office at the time.
So, that's why you look at the back wall behind the stage, if you see the video, that's exactly
the wall we were standing in front of when it was just a pile of crap.
Tishomigo is a town that when I got here in 2006, it was bad.
It [C] needed help.
And so now, to be able to bring [Gb] something into this town and try to make some jobs,
you know, was the [G] goal.
And selfishly for me to have a place to go set up and play sometimes [C] when I get bored
when I'm home.
So, you're saying [Bb] that you will at times [C] go play at O'Red?
Oh, for sure.
[G] [D]
Your mom's got a place right around the corner.
Oh my God, she's so excited about that.
What was your mom like when you were growing up as far as, you talk about your mom, as
a stage mom, what was she like?
She kind of, you know, she definitely encouraged me to be on stage and perform and [A] things like
that, but she kind of stayed out of it once I [D] got, once I knew what I wanted to do.
When you said I'll move to Nashville, what was her reaction?
She worried, but she never kicked back at it or, you know, rejected that idea.
She knew that was what I wanted to do.
I saw that cover of the album and I was like, that looks like what you do in your free time.
It's literally my passion, you know, outside of music is just being out in [G] the woods, being
out in the country and just being away.
Talk about the name of the record and what it means.
Well, the name of the record is Texoma Shore and that's simple.
That's because, you know, I have a lake house at Lake Texoma, which is just not very far from here.
[D] I put a little studio, just a vocal studio in that house.
And so I did all the vocals for the album right there, right, literally right next to the water.
It's a little bit of a throwback, almost a throwback to the early nineties.
But when it's good, it's good.
And when it feels right, it just feels right.
I want to make music that matters, that's important, that's important to me.
And that also that is relevant and it's a it's a hard balance to find.
Thank you for this record.
And second of all, thanks [G] for having us at your ranch.
Like this is this is like your personal space.
Going to see Blake Shelton and check out the new record.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
