[Bb] Well, you let me feel your leg and it felt so soft
[Dm]
[Fm] [Eb] Said hey, hey
And [Bb] it felt so soft
[Db]
[Bb] Well, you know [F] what you promised me now, please don't put me off
Okay, before we get into the picking let's have a look at the chords
It's CF and G, but it's a particular CF and G
The C is played like a normal C chord with two additions one is
You're putting your pinky on the top string the high E string at the third fret and the other is [E] that you're getting two strings
At once the fifth and the sixth strings you're fretting both of them at the third fret with your ring [Bb] finger
That's the C chord [Eb] in the F chord
Your thumb comes up around the neck to get the first fret of the sixth string and aside [C] from that.
It's a normal F chord
You also [Fm] have a regular garden variety type G chord and [F] G7
So those are the [Bb] chords
now for the [Dm] song
[Eb]
This is the basic lick and [Bb] what you're doing is you're using C
You're using F and for a brief time you're you're on no chord because you're just getting a note
That's that's nowhere near the chord, [G] which is on the fourth fret.
So you're going [F] in the C chord
[Dm] [F] It's the sixth string
the first string [D] and the fourth [F] string so the bass is this
then you come off the chord and your pinky or
your ring finger if it's more comfortable for you goes and gets just briefly the fourth fret of the second [Db] string and
[Bb] Then you're back into the into the chord
then for one beat you go briefly to an F [D] chord and
[F] Back to C [Db] and do it again
Now [F]
[Bb] [F]
[Db] [F]
[D] [G] there's a brief bass [Db] run
And you on your right hand you can just use your thumb for this and [A] then the bass goes
In a blind Blake manner you're getting
The note between the beats followed by the next beat
so it's
But you also have a treble note on top of the second of those two bass notes in that blind Blake
[Dm]
[Fm] [Eb] Said hey, hey
And [Bb] it felt so soft
[Db]
