Today we're going to talk about Trouble, our latest music video.
It's really about a young man who kind of has an estranged relationship with his father.
We built the intro to set up the whole story, so it's kind of just a collage of some of
the most visually impressive parts of the video.
[E]
[Am] [F] The intro [C] of him walking in, we got that idea [Am] from the movie Paris, Texas, which is one
of my [C] favorite movies.

[A] [F] For several years now, [C] I've been writing the treatments for the [E] videos.
This was the first time I [Am] actually got to start [Gb] writing the treatment and then to [C] direct the video.
[E]
[F] This is our [C] lead character, and [E] here he's supposed to be looking across at his father
figure or the image of [Eb] maybe becoming his father.
[B] [F] [C]
[E] [F] [Am] It's like the idea of trying to destroy the possibility of becoming the things that you
don't like about your parents.
[F] Pretty heavy stuff, I [C] guess.
[E] [C] [E]
[Am] [F] [C] [E]
[Am] [F] [C] When he [E] pulls the metal off the chest, it's like a [Am] representation of him picking up honor
[F] or pride, essentially [C] becoming the thing that he was afraid to be.
[Am] [F] [C]
[E] [F] [C]
When we [Eb] saw the location, we were like, this is going to be [E] perfect.
It made it kind of [A] difficult [F] as far as logistics [C] was concerned because it was all these massive
[A] sand dunes, like small [F] mountains.
And so when we were shooting different scenes, it was [C] like having to get an entire crew of
people, cameramen, everybody, up this [Am] huge sand dune.
It was [G] pretty tough [Am] to walk up the hill.
[F] [C]
[E] [Am] We made it a mission of ours [C] to keep things very [E] striking and simple in color [Am] scheme and
that the colors represent something to the story.

[Am] The [E] lead role, literally [C] just a couple days earlier, [E] had just arrived from [Am] Russia and
could barely speak English.
And he [C] was incredible.
We didn't [E] even have to ask him to act.
He was like, [Am] this is my story.

[E] [Am] [F] The [C] snake that we had on set, it weighed [E] 200 pounds.
He could barely keep it [F] on his shoulders.
There's only [Dm] so much footage in it because most of it's of him [Am] trying to hold this snake up.
