Alright let's get it.
So the very first thing that I [Db] started with in this beat was the [E] chords that you hear
at the very beginning so let's [Eb] check those.
_ _ [D] So [F] I just used an electric piano, Stocks [Dm] Alpha Malo.
_ [Eb] _
_ [D] Then I started building my beat around that so I added a [Eb] snap here.
_ _ [D] So what I really [Dm] liked about that was the cool reverb that it had in it.
Then I [Eb] added my kick.
_ [D] _ _ _ [A] _
_ [Dm] Then on top of that I added a [Eb] snare and this snare [D] was meant to like cut through [Dm] and hit hard.
_ _ _ _ [Eb] So now you vibin, [D] throwin the 808.
_ [A] _
_ [G] And that's the groove there.
And [Cm] then I added this hi-hat for some movement.
[D] _ _ _ [G] _
_ _ And [Gm] then I added this little hat here just to kinda [D] fill in the space.
_ [G] _
_ _ _ _ _ [Cm]
We got a little [D] bounce to it alright.
_ [G]
So yeah that's it.
[C] That's the bulk of it.
Let's jump into this 808 real quick.
[Cm] So in this 808, this is the 808 from [D] OutKontakt.
And what [G] I did was I added a distortion to it [Gm] just to give it some bite.
[D] You can get a little crazy with it.
[G] You can crank it up.
I kept it kinda like in the middle.
[C] I didn't want to overdo it.
[D] And then I added this [G] plug-in Effectrix on top of it just to kinda give me this little
[Gm] wind down effect.
So [D] let me solo that.

So and then this is if I [D] like exaggerated.
[G] So yeah I just added this just to kinda give some character [C] to the sound so it just wouldn't
be you playing [D] 808 you know.
[G] _ _
See.
_ _ [C] That's boring.
_ [D] _ [G] And I threw a CLA compressor on here.
[C] _ _
Just [D] gives it a really good [G] sound. _
_ That's without.
_ [C] And that's with it kinda pushes it [D] in your face.
[G] So cool.
That was [Cm] it.
That would be [C] the _ [D] _
[G] verse.
_ _ So then I started working on [N] the hook.
So with the hook I wanted this to be something that like dropped out.
_ So instead of me playing those moving keys like [Gb] at the beginning, I just have the chords there.
[Cm] So _ [D] same instrument but instead of [F] moving they're just sustained. _ _
And then [Eb] on top of that I added this [D] pad just to kinda add some ambience [F] to it. _ _ _
[Dm] _ _ [Eb] _ _ _ [D]
So that kinda [Am] gives it that little sexy [G] vibe. _
And that's a pad from [Gm] Nexus.
Have some reverb and delay on it.
[F] _ Then I added this low [Gm] synth to [D] kinda round it out on the bottom.
[Dm] _ _ _ _
And as you can see [Cm] on the EQ I cut out [D] a lot of the highs.
[F] Let me take it off so you can hear what it was sounding like.
_ _ [Cm] _ So [D] that's a lot of frequency, [Dm] high frequencies there so I put that EQ to get rid of [Cm] that
because I knew I was gonna be adding [D] things on top.
So [F] that takes me to [G] the next instrument.
That is the [Cm] pluck bass.

_ _ [G] _ _ So what I really liked about that [C] was the high end and [Gm] the reverb.
So then [D] what I did was added [G] another layer on that to [C] fill out the bottom end.

_ _ _ _ So those are the [C] two.
_ _ _ [D] _
_ So once I had all of [Gb] those [Gb] I added my lead.
[Cm] So here we go.
_ _ _ [D] _ _
_ [Dm] _ And once again I'm just about creating a vibe [Cm] so using reverb, delay.
I _ [G] added another lead sound on top of it that [Cm] _ made [D] it really cut through.
[F] And add this cool [D] delay and reverb on top of it as well.
[Cm] And that just really created the [D] vibe.
And then [G] from there added my snap.

So it's something for the high end and the [G] snap that you hear in the verse.
[Cm] _ _ _ [D] _ _

_ [Cm] _ _ _ [D] _
I [Gb] honestly started writing the song, or at least the hook to this [G] section here.
[Cm] I started with the hook first.
So _ _ [D] _ _
[N] I'll actually play you the memo.
So I use my phone to record a lot of ideas and this is the mumble melody that I started with
that got me to the final product.

[D] _ _ [B] _ _ _ _
_ _ [Cm] _ _ _ [D] _
_ _ [Dm] _ _ _ _
_ _ [Cm] _ _ _ [N] _
So yeah, and that was it.
So once I had that melody I was like, alright I think I'm on to something.
So that's when I started writing the lyrics and tweaking the melody to get it to where it ended up being.
And that was really it.
_ From that mumble I was just kind of freestyling.
I mumbled the words like slow, low, _ and that's kind of what I incorporated [Cm] into the final product.
_ [D] It's on the low, [G] don't do it fast [Dm] we can take it slow.

_ [Bb] _ _ _ [Eb] _
What we [D] doing at the on the low, [B] _
it's not bad we can take it slow.

So yeah, they're a little different but you can kind of hear where the inspiration came [Db] from
once I got that initial idea down.
And after that I just started writing [Cm] the verses.
_ [D] Now we proved her to do [G] bad, she just couldn't wait to get out.
She took it.
And yeah, [N] the whole song is basically about catching feelings for somebody you didn't intend to catch feelings for
but you did and you're enjoying it.
That was the whole concept.
That's it.
The very last few things after I did all of that was I added just like some sweeps and some reverse sound effects.
Just like little ear candy stuff, nothing too crazy.
So I got this sweep here.

_ _ [N] And then I got this little down effect. _ _ _ _ _
_ _ And then this reverse cymbal and boom sound. _
And I kind of did this.
[Db] _ _ [G] And I kind of did that [E] just to let you know that a transition was coming
as I'm taking you into the next section of the _ song.
