Yeah, actually I have about a hundred now and for this tour in Australia
Geez we brought over about 40 different guitars.

I keep asking myself that it's it
No, I think you know, it's like to me what we do and cheap trick because we bring all these guitars around

I believe we had the biggest light show that they've ever had here, you know
I didn't bring 350 lights or something like that a big PA system enough to blast your [Db] ears out
[G] Yet about three years in Europe there and then went back to the u.s. Sort of what was [Abm] the thing [Gb] that?
Finally took you back [E] to America
Well, we had the offer of work when we're living us.
We're living in Europe.
We couldn't get any work
It was difficult _ enough with the language problem [Abm] and then _
Then pass that
Usually the city councils the mayor's didn't actually like people playing guitars real loud and you know corrupting their youth
[G] So we went back to America and corrupted America
_ _ I was just gonna [Dbm] sort of get down to the nitty-gritty of cheap trick
I've just been to see a preview of a kiss movie.
[Ebm] Would you believe?
_ Yeah, and it sort of seems to me that [Gb] you guys are really doing that kiss [E] thing one better
I mean you don't need all the makeup, but it's still that [Ab] sort of fairly [N] slick rock-and-roll package that _ _
That gets the people in because I don't really know what you're all about
Well, we can't figure out what we're about either
And we haven't really worked on it that much.
No, I we get compared to kiss, but I think you know
I'm [Gb] not comparing the kiss, but just well [Abm] my tongue is not seven inches long.
It's not as long as [Am] jeans, but
_ But it [Abm] probably does the same sort of stuff, you know

You know, that's that's your opinion of it all we do we never really we didn't [N] plan our band or come up with an image
Or anything like that.
We just used to play clubs played all the time
And now we but you do we've been lucky with records and now we play all over the world [E] instead of just going
50 miles at a time we go 5,000 miles and 500 miles, you know [Eb] shooting around
We're the same sort of outfits each each of you [N] like bunny and Tom and you virtually wear the same gear
Every time you appear so well, that's just coming to it.
Well, I think that's if you go look at our closets
I mean, please don't break into our room and look into our closets
But I mean if you would like to come know how about one of your female assistants come up and we look at my class

They call you the
[Gb] Booty can beetles because of your popularity in Japan.
What do you put the popularity in Japan [G] dance?
_ Well, we have good music
Simple [C] they really love you over there
_ [Ab] To a great extent is there [G] any particular reason why the Japanese audiences?
[Eb] _ _ [Fm] Why they like us well [G] as I said before probably because we're so handsome, you know, you can't resist

I think we're probably one of the few groups that hasn't insulted the Japanese
Maybe that's what it was.

Just like our music they like our music and we had good press from the start and then we had hit singles
We had hit singles in Japan before we had him any a place
Else in the world was what two years ago was yeah
They're off the in color album on which one was number one and clock strikes ten from in color album
That was number one California man was number one
You get the feeling you're doing it all over again virtually with [A] this worldwide success now seems to be [Gb] going good
You know record companies behind us.
We're working real hard
I think we've kept the quality of the records up records have been good all [Em] along
You know some some bands the records are up and down and up and down
I think ours have always been up [Gm] we may [C] have we may you know do some crazy stuff
[G] The quality is I think is [A] real it's always stayed real [Em] high with cheap trick
[B] I read somewhere that [C] you got your name from sitting around a Ouija [G] board one night and it's spelled [C] out cheap [D] trick
Is that right or wrong?

_ Yes, that was true.
We were sitting around this Ouija board
we're at this promoters house and we're thinking what could be the name of the group and
and we were sitting what do you think we should be called [Am] and and
_ _ Actually what we were we actually [N] we're gonna ask what are we having for dinner over here and
_ _ And it turned and said cheap trick
So we've we figured well that was who is coming for dinner not what we were because otherwise we'd be called steak and kidney pie
That'd be horrible.

We've been this the 11th month of 11 months in a row and before that we just did the other album before that we were
Touring and you know, so we just tour all the time
I think we tour more than any band in the world even more than AC DC and
we're gonna go back and we're gonna get ready for do a new album and we're going to
we're working on some film stuff and some soundtrack stuff and
Maybe I'll go crazy too.
