I [F#m] remember back when we started

It was just like I was telling the [D] story about when we first met back then
So it just came it came like that and then I had this chorus [G] and I already decided I was gonna call the song 40
[D] Years on because that was the obvious thing.
So I wrote [A] them all down and then that was it.

You know, I know if I [F#m] could go back and tell the 15 year old me when I was first starting that this would happen
[F#] [A] I would have been absolutely thrilled and delighted.
