[N] [Eb] [F]
About a year after my Blue Bolero album came out, I thought, where do I go next for my next record?
I thought probably what I would do is delve even deeper into orchestration [Ab] and just get
far more [F] experimental.
For a while I thought, you know, this is [Eb] the obvious choice.
[F] Until I started writing,
[Ab] [Fm] [F] [Bb] I wanted to [F] get much more joyful and upbeat.
And what came out when I started writing is this [Cm] much more [G] dreamy music.
[C] [G]
[Cm] [C]
[G] [Bb] [Gm]
I'm experimenting with one or two new instruments on this record, one of [D] them being this little instrument.
It's like a [F] ukulele, but it's not.
[Bb] It's called a [G] guitar lele, and it's like a guitar with [D] six strings, but [Em] miniature.
[C] [G] [C]
[G] [Am]
[Em] [C]
[G] My good friend Rick Braun [C] was kind enough to play some [G] fantastic flugelhorn on this
record on a [C] track called Almost September.
It was nice to be playing again with [A] Rick.
It's been a long time.
[D]
[A] [Gbm]
[E] [D] Mitchell Foreman, who's a [A] fabulous keyboard player, he guests on a couple of tracks.
Rodney Lee and my good friend Dino [Gbm] Soldo, [D] he's playing some [A] orchestral Iwi instruments
on a track called Merry Go Round.
That was fun.
And [C] Merry Go Round is actually probably the one song that's kind of an extension from
the Blue Bolero album, because it's extremely classical.

[F] The first single is a track called Oliver's [Bb] Twist.
