_ _ _ _ When the Lord rescued me from drug addiction back in 1989, I [Dm] went from being a dope dealer
to a hope dealer.
And ever since then, I've had one [Am] mission, the Great Commission, to [A#] see as many people
[Gm] as possible rescued by [Dm] Christ.
As the lyrics in our new album [Gm] attest.
We are marching for the gospel, touch hearts with this gospel, touch hearts with this gospel.
But we're not charged for the gospel, we're making disciples.
I'm giving out them Bibles.
When I do it for survival, we in it for revival.
Give me the reggae music, give me the drums.
There's just something [A] about reggae music that brings people joy.
I can't explain it.
I [D] love to see the [C] audience dancing to the rhythms.
[A#] It's an incredible vehicle [Gm] to share the good news of Christ.
Fire, fire, [Dm] blaze it up, fire, [Gm]
fire.
Ever since I took my first mission trip [A#] to Jamaica [Gm] back in 1990, missions has been infused
in Christafari's DNA.
[F] A lot has changed in the band over [Gm] the years, from being a garage band to being signed to
Sony Music and now [A] being independent.
[Gm] But we never stopped preaching the [Dm] gospel at every single concert.
[Gm] Bring them to the kingdom, [Dm] we salvation.
And then the Lord called us deeper, and we switched [Gm] from being musical ministers [Em] to becoming
musicianaries, full-time musical missionaries, with an emphasis on ministering for free in
poor countries and developing nations.
Now being a missionary isn't easy.
It takes a specific calling and lots of obedience.
You see, this life is full of difficulties, [E] _ but a true friend is [Em] born into adversity.
People come and people go, they switch it up in an instant, but let God remain your constant.
To me, the darker that the times get, [C] the brighter that our [Em] lights need to be shining for him.
And there have been no darker times in [C] this generation than what we're [Em] seeing right now,
from [C] political correctness to [Em] people trying to ban the Bible [C] or legalize [Em] marijuana, the
prominence of sexual promiscuity in the media, and even the LGBT agenda.
It's not an easy time to raise a [C] child for Christ.
_ [B] Decalcorate this, I [F#] know it's sad to say this, it's a sin city worse than Vegas.
In so many ways, it seems like everything that the world promotes, what they say is
[Em] okay, the scriptures say the opposite.
Light is the dark and the dark is the light.
Right is the wrong and that [C] wrong is now right.
Open up your [Em] eyes, this time you'll realize.
Stop the wolves, they say you're blind, all the wolves will stop.
Is it just me, or is [C] the whole world [Em] upside down?
And once we've come to that [C]
realization, we've got to do [Em] something about it, [C] and we can't
make a positive [Em] change by hiding our light. _ _ _

_ _ _ _ [C] _ _ I believe the solution is in following Christ's [Em] example.
One of my favorite [C] passages in the Gospels [Am] is when Jesus [E] stands up in the synagogue and
[G] reads from the scroll of Isaiah.

[G] _ _ _ [Am] _ We are [G] anointed, be, [Am] yes the spirit of the Lord [G] is upon me.
[Am] We are appointed, [G] be, [Am] to bring good [G] news to the [F] poor, fire and [G] love.
Broken hearts [Am] bring freedom for the [G]
slain.
[E] As in the gospel, we are the freedom [Am] fighters.
_ [G] We take this passage [Am] literally, so whenever we see a [G] need, we try and make a [Em] difference
[Am] by feeding, or [G] clothing, or [Am] ministering in prisons, in [A] ghettos.
We preach the [Am] good news to the [G] poor.
That's how we shine our lights, [Am] not by attacking wrongdoers, [Em] but by doing the [Am] right.
Not by [G] criticizing or judging, [B] but by reaching out [G] and rescuing.

_ _ _ _ [G] _ _ [Am] So the Son of Man [G] didn't come into the world to [Am] judge it, but to save it.
[G] He was on a one-man [Am] rescue mission, and we see [G] this no more plainly [Am] than in the parable
of the lost [G] sheep, [F] where the good [C] shepherd leaves the 99 just to find the [G] one.
He left the 99, _ _ he left the 99 [F] for the one, _ _ _ for [C] the one. _
_ _ I love [G] how he risks it all, life and limb, showing us that every single soul counts.
And he [F] ultimately gave his [F] life so that we could have [C] eternal life.
If that's not a daring love, an audacious [G] love, a reckless [Gm] love, then [D] I don't know what is.
All [F#m] the _ overwhelming, [C#m] _ never [D]-ending, reckless love [A] of God.
We've been called to share this [F#m] love with others, to tell [C#m] people that God's not mad at [D] them.
He's [F#m] madly in [A] love with them.
I keep on [F#m] hurting, you don't [E] deserve [C#m] it, [D] still you give yourself [A] away.
All [F#m] the _ overwhelming, [E] _ [C#m] never [D]-ending, reckless love [A] of God.
_ [F#m] We've been called to preach the [C#m] word until all have heard.
To be [D] honest, it's not [A] easy going to 20 countries a year.
It sounds [F#m] glamorous, but traversing the globe each month with a [C#m] dozen missionaries, [D] it's hard.
And it's a [A] serious challenge to raise the funds for [F#m] these missions.
_ I [A] was your [C#m] hope, so [D] your love fought for [A] me.

_ [F#m] _ We have no label, [E] no publisher or ministry [D] that's funding all of this.
But we're not alone.
We have Christ [F#m] who is fighting for us, [E] who's called us to [C#m] go.
And we have [Bm] friends like you [D] who believe in what we're doing.
And people that partner [F#m] with us on a monthly basis to help make [C#m] this mission a [D] year-round [F#m] reality.
