[C]
Right [F] on.
My name is Chuck Reagan.
I'm [C] really honored to be here.
And I want to thank all
my friends for showing up and doing what they do best.
I'm going to play a song.
Some [G] time
ago I was asked by some friends to write [C] a group of songs for a short film [D#] called It's
Better in the Wind.
[F] This is a friend of mine.
He's a [D] photographer.
[Em] He's a filmmaker.
And
he's a motorcycle enthusiast.
He loves to ride motorcycles.
[N] He loves to work on old
motorcycles.
He loves to what we call turn wrenches.
So him and his buddies, they work
on these old motorcycles and [C] then they'll [F] just hit the road.
They love to ride [D] out.
They live in California.
They love to ride out into the desert with just [F] a small simple
pack of bedroll.
And what's beautiful about [C] it to me, at least this way of life, is that
they don't have, they don't think so much about any one destination.
They're more so
just really living in the moment and focusing on the journey.
And I think about that way
of life and it just, it gives me chills.
And I think [D] it's something that I think we all
kind of [C] forget to do, you know, in our day to day life.
I think it's still important
[F] to [N] do one thing every day that still scares us a little bit, like playing an acoustic
guitar in front of like 30 cameras.
[C]
But [B] this song is called Bedroll Lullaby.
[F#] It's about
sleeping under the stars.
[Am] [C]
[G] [D] Did you ever wonder [Am] far from home?
[A] [F] [D] Far from what is safe [G] and comfortable?
Oh, [C] traded [D] all your dreams [Am] for the moon.
[A] Sleep [D] until the sun [G] makes it all true.
[F] Yeah, but I don't know how long [C] I've been gone.
I can't say when I'll [G] get old.
I keep my engine, penis [Am] tone, running so we're every long.
[C] [D]
[Am] [F] [C] [G]
[C] [D]
[Am] [C] [D]
[G] Somewhere [D] I can hear a [A] long suit train, [F] hurrying in [G] a direction I can't make.
[C] Shut my [D] eyes and lay these bones [A] to rest.
[F] Yeah, off the [D] beaten path we all [G] know.
Yeah, [F] but I don't know how long [C] I've been gone.
I can't say when I'll get old.
[D] I keep my engine, cleaning [Am] stone.
Running so we're every [F] long.
Maybe I'm just spinning wheels.
[C] Lost in the world, lost the thrill.
[G] Living [D] on the edge of [Am] my tail.
It's time for love at road.
[F] It's time for love at road.
To the end of the [G] road.
[A]
To the end of the [C] road.
[D]
To the [G] end of the road.
