[F#] Alright guys, let's play some blues on our three string cigar box guitar.
I got a three string here tuned to open G, G, [G] D, G.
So we got an open G there.
I got a slide and a pick.
And here we go.
It's real simple.
I'm just going to show you a couple simple riffs and tricks so you can just do a real
simple blues jam.
What we're going to do is we're just going to use a very simple pattern.
We're going to strum open [N] and then we're going to take our pointer finger and fret the middle
string on the second [G] fret.
And what we can do there is move [F] our finger up to the next fret.
Stay on that middle string.
We're just going to play the second [G] and third fret.
Just like this.
So that's the main riff of the tune.
Just any blues tune.
Just kind of making it up.
But if you learn that little bit, you can play a lot of different songs.
So the change, you're going to slide up to the fifth fret with a slide.
So you do this bit.
Then you'll slide up to the fifth fret.
[C]
[G] Then back down.
[E] Then you're going to slide to the seventh fret.
[D]
[C#] Back to the fifth fret.
[C] [G] Back to the riff.
So all we're really doing, we're sliding up to the fifth fret and up to the seventh [Dm] fret.
[Cm] [G]
When you put it all together, you get this.
[C]
[G]
[D]
[G] [C] [G]
So from [B] there you can add a few little things.
One cool thing is to go up to the twelfth fret when you're done with the bit to kind
of finish it off.
[G] Then you can add some little slides here and there.
You can kind of go like a, this one's kind of cool.
On the top string, just slide up to the third fret.
All I'm doing is I'm just sliding to the third fret.
And kind of [B] mixing it up with the other [G] riff.
Something like this.
Then [Am] go to the fifth fret.
[G] [C]
[G]
Then [A] to the [D] seventh fret.
[G] Back to the fifth.
Back to the open part.
Then go to the twelfth.
So let's put it all together and have a little fun with it.

[D] [G] [C] [G]
[Am] [C]

[G]
So there you go.
Just real simple.
Just remember, keeping that open tuning.
You can just go on that second and [A#] third fret.
[G]
And then slide to the fifth, [D] the seventh, [C#] and the twelfth.
Real easy way to play some blues and have fun and make it kind of sound like you know
what you're doing, you know?
Real easy.
But work on that and you can learn all kinds of blues tunes just by that little riff.
So have fun, enjoy it, and don't stress.
Just have fun with it.
Make it go [G] and enjoy it.
