What's up guys groovy guitar dude here and the first thing you want to know for
Cinderella by Mac Miller and Ty Dolla Sign is this little picking thing I'm doing here.
It's kind of through the whole song
I think it's actually on piano in the actual song, but you can definitely do it on guitar
So it kind of sounds like this
So the way I'm doing that is I'm going to put a ninth fret on the B string and on the high E string
With my pointer and ring fingers, and I'm going to use either my pinky or my ring finger on
the
12th fret first, so it'll go
We're go e B e B
[G#] Okay, and we're going to take our pinky off drop down to 11th fret with our ring finger
still with
9th fret on the B and E
And then we're going to go
e B
And then we're going to take off our ring finger and just do 9th fret on the E and B so [C#m] e B
Altogether it's going to look about like this
[F#m] Now if we want to slap some chords on this what we're going to want to do is put a capo on fourth fret
The chords we're going to use for this are going to be D minor
[B] G
[E]
C and A [C#m] minor
Now I say this with rap songs, but the strum pattern for these can kind of be
[N] Interpreted as as you want it to be you can do something as simple as just single down strums for each chord
Or you can do something simple like down down up down up for each chord
With rap songs is really there with really any song it really varies, but with rap songs especially it varies because
There's really no guitar in this song so you can kind of interpret it
However, you want to what I'm using for a strum pattern for this is pretty close to about a down down
down up down
down down
Something about like that.
That's not going to be the same thing
I use every single time through here, but that's pretty close to what I'm using
So you can kind of use that as a guide and come up with your own thing all right?
So those chords for the whole entire song are going to be in the order that I told you which is [B] D minor
[E] G
[C#m] C and A minor
[F#m] So that's pretty much going to be through the whole song so just to show you an example of it
I'm going to run through it twice with that strum pattern that I was telling you.
It's going to look about like this
[B]
