It's given me a bit of a boost and my head is screwed on

So I have _ put on some sparkles, minimal makeup,

I
don't think you can dance to this song or sing this song without a few sequins.
_ But the reason
I've chosen it is because years and years ago I was in a band before Steps called TSD.
Some of you may or may not know that.
And after about a year of touring with other bands
[Db] and being support acts and stuff, we were dropped by a record [N] company.
But we decided to carry on.
_ _ We lost a member and then we found a new member and at one point somehow we found _ ourselves
_ _ driving to Newport Pagnell of all places, don't know why, _ to record a demo.
And this was the song
we were going to record. _ _
And we were recording it with Mike Stevens and another guy.
Mike Stevens
is a musical director and he had been, when I was young, take that musical director.
So obviously
I was beside myself anyway.
But so we got there, the vocal booth I think was in a cupboard under
the stairs if I remember.
_ And we recorded it and nothing ever came of it.
_ I don't think I ever even
heard the demo.
_ I don't know if anybody's got a copy, hopefully not.
_ _ _ And that was that.
And we
just forgot about it really.
And I've always loved this song.
And then just recently I watched a TV
series called Pose, which is brilliant.
_ And they used this song in a really, really lovely poignant
way.
And it reminded me just how [Ebm] great it is and how much I love it.
So [N] I thought I'd give it a go
for you.
I've never sung it in public before.
_ But it's just, it's one of those songs that you can't
help but sing along to.
It makes you feel great.
