Some of our team who's been working on our new album,
Long Live the Cowboy, and social media for it,
has [G] put together some content that they wanted me [N] to view
and just comment on.
I have no idea what it is,
but they said it should be fun.
It's been a great process getting this album ready.
The album's called Long Live the Cowboy,
and just for fun, you know the Budweiser commercials,
where they say, dilly dilly, we've all been saying,
Long Live the Cowboy, kind of in that tone.
So let's see what the content is and get going.
I have no idea what this is going to be, but
Oh, [G] [Eb]
oh man.
[Bb] This is very cool.
That [Eb] was my first video, second video actually,
Live Until I [Fm] Die.
Right there, whenever that heron went off the bank,
that was just one of those moments that happens,
[A] [Ab] you know, when [N] it's magic and you can't create it, it's just there.
That's forever etched in my memory.
I remember when it happened.
That was one of the most special times of my life,
because of course my career was really new,
and [E] you can memorialize it with scenes like that one right [Eb] there.
[Ab] [Bb]
[Eb]
I grew up in a little town, well not too small,
[D] but Beaumont, Texas, which is [G] in southeast Texas.
Spent a lot of time on a river there called the Natchez River,
and being on that river right there, shooting that video,
was almost just like being back at home,
but yet that video's in Tennessee,
and seeing that muddy river brings back, golly, so many memories.
[Eb] [Bb] [F] Man, [Eb] I had such a baby face, golly, I didn't realize it.
I probably looked like I'm 12 right there.
[Bb] [Eb]
[Ab] [Eb]
[Ab] [Bb]
[Eb] That's one of my best memories right there too, of all the videos I've done.
My mom was there, and my little brother Jared is the little [Gb] kid right there.
And, you know, it's just time passes by so fast,
and [Bb] to have some pieces of your life involved in a video, pretty cool.
[Eb] [Bb]
[Eb] That [Ab]
[Cm] [G] just reminds me of everything great about America.
Being able to play horseshoes and barbecue,
and just spend time with your family on a weekend, [D] that [F] epitomizes it.
[Eb]
[Bb]
[Fm] [Bb] [Ab]
[Bb] [Eb]
[Ab] [Bb] Most [Cm] [Bb]
[Fm] [Cm] of these people are locals, you know,
we were just right there in that town where we were actually shooting the video,
and they just [F] came out and helped us out.
Look at this guy, man, that's great.
And that [Eb] scene, wow.
[Cm] [Eb]
[Ab] [Bb]
[N]
God, that scene right there was, I didn't know,
they told me that they were going to shoot that bonfire,
or shoot that wood with a bow and arrow, and that it was going to light up.
Now, I'll tell you something that, I don't know if anybody knows this at all,
that is a roll of toilet paper that they soaked in kerosene, or gas,
and obviously there's something a little bit heavier than diesel on that wood power tank,
because that thing [A] exploded.
That burned, basically, the hairs off my eyebrow right there,
and I was not expecting that.
If you look in slow motion, that was not supposed to happen that way.
[B] [Dbm] [B] [A]
[B] [E] [A]
[B] [Dbm] [B] [Dbm]
[A] [B] [E]
[B]
[E]
That was a real smile.
I was probably happy it was over.
It was a long day.
Well, guys, thanks for joining us right there.
That was a special moment for me, and I'm glad the team surprised me with that.
I [N]
totally had no idea what I was going to be looking at.
I guess that's the whole point of it.
It just keeps it real.
It just keeps it real, and [E] that's what we're about [C] with everything that we do.
[E] We want to remain true and authentic,
and [A] the social media [Abm] is fun to share with you guys what's going [E] on behind the scenes,
and just in my life in general.
I know that you care, and I care about what you're doing too,
[N] and I hope you keep communicating with us the way that you've been doing,
and I also hope that you enjoy the new music that we are about to start releasing.
[F]
Christmas Eve night, midnight, [N] I guess, just at the turn of the clock,
we're going to release a new song called She Gets What She Wants.
[E] We've been doing that song in concerts, [F] and I've had a lot of fun with it.
But I think [Ab] that's what social [N] media should be.
It should be just a two-way conversation between you and me,
and so that's what I'm doing right now, just telling you what's going on.
So [Ab] let me know what you think about [G] the new song.
I think it's fitting that it's [Db] coming out right there on Christmas Day,
She Gets What She Wants.
[Abm] So I'll see you the next time that we do this, I hope,
and enjoy yourself, enjoy your people that you love,
and I'll try to do the same.
Yeah, I'll see you soon.
