CLYDE STUBBLEFIELD AMAZING Finger Drum Tribute!! - Nick Stubblefield chords
Start Jamming...
Hi, I'm keyboardist Nick Stubblefield.
I thought I might make a video today explaining a little keyboard technique known as finger
drumming, and in doing so, I'd pay an homage to legendary funk drummer Clyde Stubblefield,
unfortunately of no relation.
The way I'm going to do this is first I'm going to lay down a funky bass line and then
a funky clav line.
These are of my own creation.
Then I'm going to finger drum in the style of Clyde Stubblefield over top of that.
Check it out.
Let's lay down the bass line.

Now let's lay down the funky Clyde Stubblefield drum, probably my favorite part.

But beforehand, let me explain how this works.
Each drum sound is assigned to a different key.
So check it out.
Here's your bass drum.

Here's your snare [Bb] drum.
[Gb] Here's your tom.
Here's your [F] hi-hat.
Here's your crash [E] cymbal.
We're using a Reason drum refill that actually [F] emulates Clyde Stubblefield's drum set sound for this.
[C] So check it out.
Let's lay down the funk.
