And one of them was called If I Were the Devil.

in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
And I remember it [Em] sold really well.
And then I remember thinking,
oh, should [E] I play the devil song?
Should I do it?
And I played it last, last song of the night
and people lost their minds.
And the guy [B] next to me,
who is [Em] part of the writers round looks at me, he goes,
you have to [C#m] release that song.
So then I named a whole record after it and put it out.
And I can honestly say that song,
not only did it change my life,
but [C#m] I know that it's [E] helped a lot of other people,
you know, work through some things.
It's [A#] done more than just help [B] my career.
And that's really [E] all I can ask as a songwriter.
