Cordoba C12 Limited Lattice vs Jim Redgate Lattice Braced Guitar | Mark Bouras chords
Start Jamming...
All right, I got two great lattice brace guitars here to compare.
This is the Jim Redgate lattice brace guitar, just like Ana Vidovic uses.
And then this will be the C12 Limited Spruce by Cordoba.
[A#m] So just pretty [E] much testing out the volume.
[Em]
[Am]
[B]
[Em]
[B] [G] [Em]
[E]
[C]
[Em] [E]
[Fm] [G] [Am]
[G] [E]
[B] [E]
[C]
[Am] [E]
[C] [E]
[Em]
[C] [B] [E]
[C]
[E]
[Am]
[G]
[F] [A]
[E] [D]
[C] [Am]
[G]
[F] [E]
[F]
[E]
Okay, so these strings are definitely a lot [D#] newer than those.
So you might hear [E] some squeak and stuff, so a little [Am] brighter.
[G]
[C] [Em] [Am]
[G] [Am]
[E] [Am] [C#] This is definitely different too.
This is more of a lacquer and French [D] polish.
Also, the armrest [F] stops them, makes it vibrate more because you're not touching [F#] the top.
This one's more of a [F#] polyurethane.
[G] So also the tuners are really nice.
These are like $1,000 graph tuners, [E] coco bola wood.
So I [F#] mean, even though this one's [E] a [Am] lot more [A] expensive than this one, but [E] pretty close.
Yeah, this one definitely, I think it's got a wider, more open sound plus the volume.
[Em] [Am]
[E] [Am]
[F] [Am]
[E] [Am]
[D] [F#] [G]
[G] [F]
[E] [Fm]
[F] [F#] [D]
[E] [Am] [F#]
[F#m] [D] [G]
[E] [F]
This one has a little [F#] louder treble, maybe not as much bass, a little more [E] balance.
This is still [Am] a huge bass.
There's something about it a little different for sure.
It's a bigger guitar.
There's a lot longer scale length, you know, the neck.
[Am] [E]
[F#] [F#m]
[Em]
[F#]
[E] [Em]
[B]
[F#] [Em] [B]
[E] [F#]
[Em] [B]
[Am] Yeah, a little rounder, [Em] maybe rounder sound.
[B] [G]
[E]
Just a little softer, like a [F] softer attack with this [E] one.
Warmer, just [A] overall warmer.
[Am]
[E] [F]
[G] [Em]
[C] [Am]
[Em] [G]
[F]
[E] [F]
[G] [A]
[E] [A]
[Em] [G]
[F] [E]
[Am]
[C] [G]
[F] [E]
[Em] [E] So we're just using pretty much a room mic for [G#] all this,
just to pick up the voice and the guitar.
So nothing, no mic up close to [E] it or anything.
You'll [B] see the body's also a little [Em] thinner.
[E] You know, they get a really huge [F#] sound out of this, you know, and I think this [G#] guitar's,
um, yeah, it's all [E]
polyurethane.
It's got the elevated fretboard.
It's a limited, so it has a better [G] select of woods than the other ones you [F#] can get.
[E] [Am]
[D] [F#] [Em]
[E]
[Em] [B]
[B] [E]
[D] [A]
[E] Probably if I play up here more, it gets a little closer.
Definitely a lot brighter.
[Em] [F#]
[D] [E]
[D] [F] [E]
[Am] [F#]
[E] So more mids as well, it seems like.
Okay, so you can see there's also a little bow in the back here,
just to give it a little, [G] I think that's more volume projection.
It's got the elevated fretboard as well.
It's got the graph tuners,
Coco Bolo all over,
[E] and Thin Top, Cedar.
Also little sound holes here.
[N] Three little sound holes in the bridge.
Takes a little weight off of it.
[D]
[C] [Dm]
[G] [Am] [D]
[E] [E]
[Am]
[C] [C#] Thanks for watching.
