Hey, what's up you [Am] guys?
Marty Schwartz here.
[Eb] I'm going to bring you a [E] classic tune.
I remember, I'm going to date myself here, I was a senior [G] in high school when this [A] song came out.
I remember it very well.
[D] Anyway, it's the same chord progression [C] over and over.
I'm going to give you [Db] a few different options on how to play it.
I know there's different levels of players out there.
I'm going to try and help all of you guys that want to learn this one.
Also, I'd really appreciate your support by [A] please subscribing to this channel of mine.
I really appreciate it and, you know, I'm here and I plan on teaching for the rest of
my life and I'm really [D] hoping it's right here.
All the support you guys have given me, [Cm] I really appreciate.
So thank you for [F] subscribing.
Enough of that though.
[Eb] Let's zoom in.
We'll break [Ab] this one down right now.
Here we [G] go!
All right, so probably [E] the most famous version of this is on electric guitar, but any of
the stuff I'm teaching you right now [C] can be the electric guitar version.
[G] No problem.
[E] So let's go through the chords.
It's the same thing over and over, [C] which we like.
[Ab]
It starts [Eb] with a G chord, which you could play [G] this way.
[B] 3, [Em] 2, open, open, [G] 3, 3.
Now you can [C] also play a G bar chord, which would be barred on the [G] 3rd fret.
[C] And it looks like [B] an E [G] major shape.
So 5, 5, [Ab] 4, [G] barred on the 3.
Same chord.
You play the bar chord, then you can go up to the next chord without changing [B] the shape,
which is a B major, which would be barred on [D] the 7th fret and then an E major [B] shape.
So we have G major, [G]
up to [B] the 7th fret.
[C]
[Eb]
So from B, it goes up a half step.
So I'm barring the [D] 8th fret now, and that would be a [B] C [C] major.
And then the final [D] chord, which has that dark feeling and sound to it.
Middle [C] finger comes off and it becomes C [Cm] minor.
[G]
Up to the 7th fret.
[B]
[Ab] And if I take my pinky [B] off and [Eb] I add it [D] to the 9th fret of the G [B] string and
[D] pull it off,
that's a [Bm] sus4.
G [B] sus4.
Up a [D] half step to C [C] major.
Then I make it [Cm] C minor.
I'm a [G] creep, [B] a weirdo, but I'm [C] a man.
I don't even make it a minor.
[G]
[B]
So another way to play B major [A] is barring the 2nd fret and then [C] rings hitting the 4th
of [B] the D, G, and B.
And you can sus it by adding your pinky to the 5 of the B.
[D] And then you could also play a C major
[Db] and you could play the full [C] C major,
[G] or if you
[C] mute that [E] D [C] string with your middle finger, you get what's called a C5 or a C [Em] power chord.
So that's [C] another option.
And then you [D] could play C minor with the root on the A string by barring the 3rd [B] fret and
making this an A [C] minor shape.
So check that out.
[G]

or anything like that, go [G] ahead, like [Ab] this video, [F] leave a comment below, let [C] me know,
[D]
and I'll look at it, you know, and I'm going to be giving it [C] right back.
