And the second phrase _ _ is we take our third finger on the second string, third fret, _ _ _ _ _ _ we
pull up and we play the two open strings backwards.
_ _ So these two phrases are, _ _ and then the [Bb] second phrase is, [Em] _ _
_ _ _ and then the third phrase is, _ _ _ we're
doing the same thing on the next string.
We're just pulling up on the third fret.
_ _ _ _ _ [D] And then we play the _ _ _ second phrase [Em] again.
_ _ _ So I'm going to review these first four [Bb] phrases.

[E] _ _ And if you break them apart like that and realize you're just doing the open strings like this.

This is the home stretch.
It's easy.

Well, you're not muting, but you're choking the strings _ when you do a downstroke.
And you want to aim for the top two strings only.

That's where it comes from.
_ So I'll play both of these in a row just like I did on the [Em] demo.

I just take my second finger _ and I'm doing these top two open strings, but I slide up

So [E] you don't have to slide up three times.
You can just slide up [Em] once. _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ Slide down.

_ _ _ And all the while I'm pounding the top three strings and then the top four strings. _ _ _ _ _
