Daniel Caesar - Blessed *PIANO TUTORIAL* chords
Start Jamming...
Hey everyone, how are you all doing?
I'm great.
Thanks for asking
So today we are back with another tutorial a quick piano tutorial for Daniel Caesar's blessed from his
2017 album Freudian as such a beautiful song and his voice is like butter
So I thought I'd give you a piano tutorial for some really nice chords these chords that I'll be playing
Below middle C.
So this one here's middle C.
Sorry, the frame I have set up is not that great
It's actually I don't have one of those professional ones that like C above, you know, so we're getting there
We're working towards [E] it.
But anyway, let's get started on the chords.
We will start with an F sharp
in the bass clef and F sharp G sharp a sharp and C sharp in the right hand and the [F#] first lyric everywhere [D#m] that
So after that we jump to a D sharp minor chord
So D sharp in the bass with D sharp F sharp a sharp in the right hand, [F#] yep, so
[D#m] After that we do a chromatic step down to D [Dm] minor
so D in the bass and
D F a in the right hand
[C#m] Followed by another chromatic step down to C sharp minor
So C [Gm] sharp in the bass and C sharp E G [D#] sharp in the right [C#m] hand
[N] So how it fits in with the lyrics we'll go from the top again.
[F#] So
everywhere [D#m] that I [Dm] go
[C#m] Everywhere that I see it's really low for me, but you know, it is what it is
If you are not [B] [D#m] surrounded
[N] Yep, so after the C sharp minor [F#] chord we jump to F sharp in the left hand and [C#m] C sharp E
G sharp B in the right hand if you are not [G#m] surrounded
Beautiful chord that it lands on here.
[B] So we have a B natural octave.
So I'm also playing the octave lower.
You just can't really tell
Yeah, and then in the right hand we have all of these black notes [C#] that you can play
So [B] C sharp D sharp F sharp G sharp a sharp.
It's a really nice pentatonic sound that is held with the pedal
[D#m] [B] Surrounding me with [Bm] your energy
So that's the last chord we'll be learning for today
So B natural remains in the left hand and then we have D [B] F sharp A sharp in the right [Bm] hand
[B] Surrounding me.
Yeah, and then back to [F#] the top
I don't wanna [D#m] be [Dm] there
Don't [C#m] wanna be anywhere
She says I can't [B] feel you I just [Bm] wanna be near [B] you
well, I think I just skipped to the second verse [Bm] but
Obviously, you'll know the lyrics a lot better than I do [B] because that's why you clicked on this video and then same thing with the [F#] chorus
Yes, I'm a [D#m] mess, but [Dm] I'm blessed to be stuck [C#m] with you
[B] times I get so
Yeah, I really should have looked up the lyrics before I started this tutorial [N] and then it goes into this like cute little interlude bit
And the next verse again exact same chords.
The chorus is also the exact same chords
So that's it that wraps up our quick tutorial for Daniel Caesar's blessed
I hope you have a blessed day and I'll catch you around for the
