Well, Dave also wrote a big song for another group, Three Dog Night.
They had a huge hit with his song, Pieces of April, in 1972.
That year, Dave also recorded his own version.
And in 1979, re-recorded that song, but a little bit different style to it.
A much more polished, light rock kind of sound.
Unfortunately, this song did not crack the Hot 100, but it's a fantastic version.
