Well, listen, it's great to have you here.
You've got a brand new single that we're going to hear coming up in just a little bit,
Nights on Fire.
And before we do that, though, there was a particular song that you wanted to lead off with.
It's a little bit of a song that you did about your wife,
and I'll let you set that up and play it for us.
Yeah, it's ironically a song that if you come see us live, you know,
with a full band in a club or a theater or somewhere,
we usually tend to close the show with this song
because with a live band, it tends to kind of have a bit of a jam band feel.
It gets really big and loud.
But when we do it acoustic, it's kind of the opposite.
It's a little bit more mellow, and it's a good, I guess, icebreaker as far as we're concerned.
Selfishly, we like to play it just because it's a good warm-up song.
But, you know, I wrote this song and sang it for years and years
and then had twins back in December, and, you know, suddenly, like the next few times,
really every time we've sang it since then, you get a little bit more, I guess, tingle, goosebumps on your body
just because it kind of takes on a whole other meaning once your wife becomes a mother of your kids.
So it's a tune called Catherine, and hopefully we don't butcher it now that I've set it up like that.

Staring you in the [C] ring, as bitter as I've ever known

You're always smiling, [C] with no reason to be
[G] You're always cheaper, at [C] least that's how it seems
[Am] Catherine, I can't give you [G] anything
[Am] Much more than this couple on a dollar [G] ring
[Am] Promises ain't ever been [G] my strength
[Am] But [C] you are all I'll [G] ever need
[Am] [C] You are all I'll ever [G] need

Your hair's on a mess, [C] your clothes don't [G] match
Your lover's baby, [C] ain't I quite the cat

[G] Your mind's around, but [C] the weather, we're rare and sure we're poor
