Start Jamming...
Hey, I'm Erica Olson and on this Music Minute we're [B] featuring the band Dead Sarah.
Emily, thank you so much for joining us.
[A#] Thank you.
So you and Suzy are the front women of the band, the duo behind it,
and I've heard you called yin and yang.
Why is that?
I don't know.
I think we complement each other very well.

[C#] How did you guys start the band and why did [A#] you come together?
We started out of high school.
We didn't go to [Bm] the same high school,
but we had a mutual friend in common.
[D] We just started hanging out and, [G#] you know,
ditching [G#m] school.
It wasn't until about a year after we were [C] best friends that we
decided [B] to just start jamming and then from there it just kind of [C#m] grew and grew.

[B] As [C#] [B] a band, we love [D#] Rage Against the Machine,
Blood Suppling, Pearl Jam, all the great bands we seem to have in common, you know, and
the legacy, you know, the career of the band is [C#] very important to us.
That's inspiring to us.

[G#] [D] Pleasure to Meet You actually [G] came from a lyric of LA City Slum,
which is a title track on the record.
Initially, Suzy and I wanted LA City Slum for the record.
We're like, oh, that's so cool.
It's such a great album title.
[G#] And the guys are kind of like,
but didn't say no.
They were just kind of sitting there.
And then literally, like within that [D] moment, [F#] Sean was like, well, what about Pleasure to Meet You?
Because it's one of the lyrics in that song.
[G] And then we're [Dm] all kind of sit down.
Oh, yeah, that's good.
That's good.
It just seemed to be.
