Start Jamming...
We're going swimming in this river and it's called the Eyre River or something like that
and all the locals go in, it's kind of got this current and they just get in and let
the current take them down, it's actually pretty hardcore.
Apparently we're not supposed to go past this bridge because it's a bit further down to
the waterfall so we'll avoid that.
Right, we're going in.
The hardest bit is getting out.
Really fucking awesome.
This is my guitar vault [Gb] where the guitars travel.
[Abm] One, two, three, four, five, I've got five Les Pauls on this tour and an [Gb] acoustic as you can see.
[Abm] They're all the same flavour of Les [Gb] Pauls, you know, just [E] different colours to match my mood.
That's not entirely true.
[Ab] Captain Slog!
I think we are in Thun in Switzerland which is about 20 miles from Bern which is where
we're staying, which is the capital of Switzerland.
I did not know that.
And this is the last of the European [Abm] shows, if you don't count Dublin because [Eb] it's British
Isles at least, it's not [F] in Britain but [Ab] this is the last one in mainland Europe and then
we go to Wembley and then [Bb] we go to Lithum and then we go to Dublin and [F] then we go to
[Db] Glasgow and then we're off.
So [Ab] we've technically got five shows left [E] and this show starts in about 40 [Ab] minutes.
[Abm] [Ab] [Abm]

Next gig baby!
[E] [N]
Now back in the hotel.
Cheers!
What an amazing gig.
We were in the sun for the entire show so I'm like this for the entire gig.
Nobody told us.
So tomorrow we play Wembley Stadium.
We played Wembley Arena for years over and over and over again.
We never got to the stadium so this is a really big deal.
In a way it's a journey that's lasted 45 years because when we were growing up and
forming the band we had little goals but we always knew at the back of our minds there
was the big goal and here we are, this was the big goal, Wembley Stadium.
In England, to English people, it doesn't come much bigger than Wembley Stadium.
My first [Gbm] memory of Wembley, [Em] like every kid growing up, would be soccer.
The FA Cup [A] finals always played at [Em] Wembley Stadium.
I remember I saw Evel Knievel do this crazy jump and it lasted about five seconds I think
[G] and then he fell off and like, [N] wow.
That was pretty cool.
So it's been there, it's been kind of a staple for London actually and around the
world everyone knows what it is.
I think one of my fondest [Eb] memories, most incredible [Am] mind-blowing [Dbm] experiences was doing
the Freddie Mercury tribute and that was fantastic [E] because Brian May got up on stage [B] with us.
It was just friggin' awesome.
[Eb] Interestingly, my first proper gig with Def Leppard, [E] not counting the club show a few
days before, but my first major gig was [G] the original Wembley Stadium which they demolished
and replaced with this new [E] one.
Here we are back at Wembley, albeit a [G] different stadium.
It's very exciting, it's come full [D] circle.
Captain's log, star date, July the 1st, 2023, Wembley Stadium, London.
This is it, this is the first time we've played Wembley Stadium since we played here
On the 20th of April 1992, a special guest of Queen for [F] the Freddie Mercury tribute show.
A historical occasion for the group.
Slightly emotional as well because it does, it's proved something to us, to ourselves
that we've actually made it this far for this long and who knows, maybe we'll just do a
few more in the future.
Check it out, and the best thing [Bbm] about it is, it's got [Cm] my name on it.
[F] 45 years later.
[Ab] Yes!
Look at this!
[Bb]
Wembley, Wembley.
That's what I've been working out [E] for.

[E] We're in Blackpool on beach, actually we're not in Blackpool at all, we landed in Blackpool
but we're in Lytham and we're here literally 24 hours after we did Wembley.
In fact we finished at 11 last night and we're on stage here at 7 so not much recovery time
for us singers, all four of us that sing.
But last night was so special and so fantastic it doesn't really matter.
But now, having circled for 45 minutes in the air trying to land in Blackpool because
some twat with a kite was flying it at the end of the runway and we couldn't land for 45 minutes.
But anyway, we're here and [Bb] it's windy and [D] it's baltic, it's unbelievable.
That's [Eb] what life needed baby.
[Ab] [Eb]
[Ab] [Gb] Well, [B] apparently [E] when we played Nashville in 2019 it was the [Gb] coldest gig we've ever
done because it was 37.
[B] I've obviously forgotten that [D] because this Far Down concert is one of [Gb] the coldest gigs
that we've ever [Bm] done.
[E] July my [Gb] bollocks.
[Gbm] Five songs in I thought I'm going to lose [Em] my voice here for Dublin [Eb] because the wind
blowing into your mouth was drying me out.
So I started singing with a grit of teeth.
[Em] I would be [N] absolutely amazed if somebody doesn't get sick in the next day or so.
It, um, well I'm already there but it's not any worse.
It cleared up.
I had a couple of gollies in Animal and I just held on to the Long Night in Photograph,
just held on to it.
Alright.
Alright.
