reminds us of the band's past.
The tragic loss of guitarist Steve Clark
and the unbelievable accident of drummer Rick Allen. _
It didn't make sense when he said [Am] Rick's lost his arm.
It made absolutely no sense to me at [E] all.
Well, even if he lives, how's he [D] gonna play drums?
[Am] It was almost like the universe just said,
we need to shut down this chapter [D] of your life.
[A] He was kind of numbed out to his pain.
When I met him, it was easy to see
that there was unchecked trauma.
[E] You know, I suffer from PTSD
[Am] and I didn't know that for years.
[E] Rick's [D] bleeding while he's moving. _
_ _ _ He's literally [Ab] having to compensate
with three limbs, [Eb] something that he did with [Db] four.
He will practice and practice and practice
until he's literally [Bb] _ [Db] bleeding through [Eb] blisters
or his muscles are fatigued.
He will just do it until he falls off that stool. _

and then there's a whole subset of Def Leppard [Eb] fans
that are Rick Allen fans,
who are people who [Bb] are [Ab] amputees
and well-known war veterans,
people who are just so [Db] inspired by Rick. _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ [Gb] _ _ Everything we've been through,
you know, what with [Eb] me going through my accident,
[Gb] bring you to the question, _ why are we doing this? _
The only answer [Bb] I could ever come up [Db] with
was because we like each other,

And I think that's one of the reasons
why we're still here today.
