[Gm] I thought [Fm] a big surprise for me was how Cover Me ended up [G] being.
I [Gm] heard that song when that song was written [Fm] by myself, Pete and Christian.
They had some ideas that they had given me to kind of write to
and [Gm] one of those ended up being Cover Me.
You know we're singing
[Ab]
We could fade away
We [Gm] sat down at the piano.
We worked on [G] some of the lyrical ideas in it as well [Fm] as some of the chords.
[Ab] And Martin's great with that.
He'll sit at the piano and [Cm]
get into the song as well
and he'll really kind of give his best.
I think that [Eb] in the studio we really took it on
and made it into something that was even better.
[Bb] We have to take [Ab] cover
Cover [Cm] me
[Eb]
The bit at the end, that really long [Bb] instrumental piece, didn't exist before.
I always heard this idea [Ab] of the song being in two halves.
One half being this sort of lyrical idea
[Cm]
and then the other half being something kind of of another world.
So that was, for me it was done really well on the album.
It sort of, it sent the song, the song is here
and then you kind of get in the spaceship and go somewhere else.
[F]
[Cm]
[F]
[Cm]
It [F]
[Cm]
came out really well, I was really pleased.
I think everybody was in the end, surprised how well that came out.
