Queen [D] Jane is my Bob Dylan choice and if you can imagine trying to pick a Bob Dylan song,
of [D] instantly want to pick them all.
if I was forced to have

Queen [D] Jane is my Bob Dylan choice and if you can imagine trying to pick a Bob Dylan song,
[E] you sort of [D] instantly want to pick them all.
Well I do because if I was forced to have
a favourite it would be very hard.
[Em] _
Queen Jane I just gravitated towards because it's got
nice space, just the phrasing in it.
Bob [Em] can [A] get very wordy.
I just really wanted something
that I could get my teeth into and [D] this track just seemed to tick all the boxes.
And funny
enough I've only [Bm] just discovered this song [A] recently so it's probably one of the exceptions
on the album.
It [D] doesn't have a long, long history with me.
_ I actually heard it [G] one night
just around the time of the conception of this album on public radio.
It was actually
on Stuart Coop's radio show that he does on FBI.
And he was playing [A] another artist,
_ done a cover of it, whose name escapes me now, [D] but I heard someone else do it and I
thought what a [G] great song.
So [D] just a little note to [Bm] self.
And yeah it's always an [A] experiment
when you attack a Bob Dylan song because I don't know, [D] they either grow onto you, on
my experience, or you kind of walk away from them because [Em] they're _ [D] not for everybody.
At
least every track is not just going to [G] instantly let you in.
They're quite [F#] personal and [A] they
can be quite barbed, which is probably a good thing.
He sets [D] booby traps. _
As soon as we
got the groove going it was probably one of [Bm] the easiest ones to put [A] down.
I think it was
actually take one.
We came in in the [D] morning and we just boom.
And then _ [G] _ _
[D] Lee, our drummer,
who was the boss of everything, [G] I like to say, just said, [D] well I'm happy.
And when he
says that I'm like, must be done.
I mean, yeah, it just felt good and you could question
it I suppose, but always [D] question the fact that you'd only done one take of it.
But then
you think well, [G] _ sometimes it [F#m] just is, you know.
