But then Bill got ill, he [Eb] had to go to hospital,
and then on the 22nd [E] of September Bill had passed away.
_ I'm very mournful [G] about Bill's death, I miss him,
and I'm thankful to be allowed for getting to [E] know this [Bb] honest man.
_ [Gb] During Bill's illness [G] he still had the wish to finish our project,
but [F] he wasn't able to do that.
Before [Gb] we went to hospital we recorded the tracks, drums, bass, his lead guitar, and [G] Bill's vocal.
_ Bill left out two verses [F] because he wanted me to sing the second [Gb] and the last verse,
and he wanted me to play the rhythm guitar.
_ I know that it's unusual [D] to sing together with [Gb] someone who's [G] dead now,
but I will do my very best to fulfill one of the last [D] wishes of my dear friend Bill,
that the last thing I can do for to honor him.
