Hey friends, I was [Bm]
laying awake last night [G] thinking about everything.
I think I've been watching too much news.
I started feeling anxious about stuff.
And I just thought, well, I'm going to read, I've been reading through the Bible here on one of my Bible apps.
I was reading from Matthew chapter 6 and in this particular translation, the heading for the chapter was,
The Cure for Anxiety.
I thought, oh boy, I need to read that.
And I began to read, well, I'll read a little bit here.
Matthew 6 verse 25.
Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on.
Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
Are you not of more value than they?
And of course, the answer to that question is, yes, you are of more value.
And Jesus said to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.
He will take care of our needs.
So Lord, we do come to you today.
I'm thankful that your word tells us before we even ask, you know what we need.
I'm so thankful that you are concerned with the things that concern us.
[Bm] [D] So we come to you today.
Thank you for providing our food, our clothing.
Thank you for providing our jobs.
All that concerns us.
You know about it already and we put our trust in you.
[D#] In the name of Jesus.
[G] Amen.
