What inspired you to write this song?
The song really came from a series of depressions I was going through.
I know it's not, you know, appropriate to say that you were depressed.
I was going through a series of depressions.
My mother, my father, my cousins, my aunt, my niece, all in two years, died.
_ My mom and dad died ten months apart.
And it left me at the point of really thinking, hoping to die next.
Suicidal.
And I woke up one morning and just sat on the edge of the bed and those were the questions that I just kept hearing.
Where would I go without your hand holding me?
And out of a whole lifetime of struggle, it seems like, that was the final consensus.
I need you.
I just need you. _ _ _ _

What do you want people to take away from your album?
I want them to take away just what you just took away.
I want them to take away that no matter what we do, we need help.
We need hands that will hold us.
God to love us.
I want them to take that away.
No religion, no specific religious kind of thing.
Just our need for something that will make us whole.
And that's God.
