So as I was demonstrating in the last video
The mechanics now the mechanics of the praise break are a little different well, they're actually really simple
And this break broken down like this
You're gonna come in on the one through
Now once you got that now all you have to do is put [E] the right hand on the
On the stack or whatever symbol you want to use for the praise break and it's gonna sound like this
[N]
[Ab] [E]
[Gb]
[N]
Oh
[C]
[Bm] [N]
The difference between
Dittos and six short rolls with six short rolls.
It's easier and more simple to think of them in a triplet grid.
That is
As
opposed to in a straight grid, which is
like even though the pattern of the ditto and the six short roll both have a
They're both in a six note grouping
Before they alternate it's easier to think of them in terms
Think of the six row roll in terms of triplets and think of the pattern of ditto in terms of you know
Straight 30 seconds and I'm gonna demonstrate both of them.
All right six row roll
[Eb] So
[N]
[G]
[N] that's pretty much it and a six row roll
reminds you is
Like right left left right right left right now the pattern of ditto is right left right right left left
But you would use that more so in a straight note or 30 second note grid and the third thing you know is
If the tempo is one two, three four thirty [Eb] seconds
[N] A grid of both
so
[Gm] [Eb]
you got the pattern of ditto is
[N]
[E] [G]
[E]
I
Now I'm gonna break down something else too
Calvin Rogers actually did pattern of dittos.
I actually talked to him on Twitter about this.
He did pattern of dittos on his intro to
Never again or that James Fortune [N] song
[Ebm]
[N] But
He put the bass drum with the right hand that's that's all that is it's not that complicated but like just
Even though it's a grouping of six you group it in this in the straight note like you group it in the straight note grid
You group [Eb]
[Db]
[E]
[Eb]
[N]
[Eb]
[D] [Eb] it in a straight note I'll slow it down
Pretty
[Db]
[N]
much it and that's what it sounds like and that's the difference between using the six stroke
