[G] _ _ _ _ Hey Dusty.
That was just great.
Really loved it.
Thanks very much Burton.
Hey, I love the show.
The music came from [Am] all of your music right?
Your show, Promises Promises.
[G] Promises Promises.
Thanks Dusty.
You happen to remember when we first met?
Oh you bet.
It was about five years ago now.
That's right.
Dusty just had a whole string of hit records and she was looking for a new song to record.
A lot of people right had sent you songs.
Oh yes, so many people sent me songs and they were all very nice songs but I just couldn't seem to find the right song to record at that time.
So I thought well I wonder if I'd go off to America and see what Burt had.
And that's what I [D] did.
And the only thing was I only had one day off to do it.
Right.
Absolutely.
Cause we were [N] in a rush.
Yeah, you flew over to New York, a seven hour trip.
Uh huh.
And you took a cab through the traffic from the airport to Midtown Manhattan, a nine hour trip.
Yeah.
You met, I showed you a few songs and you found your next hit, right?
Wrong.
_ _ Wasn't that what you did? No.
Actually we looked through dozens of songs but none of them were quite right for [C] Dusty.
But six months later I did write a song for you, didn't I?
[E] That's right you did and it was called Wishing and Hoping.
And you loved it.
And you knew right away it was going to be [D] a big hit, right?
Wrong. Wrong.
It took you another six months to convince me to record it but I did eventually because
I was very glad about that because it turned out to be a very _ _ _
[G] _ _ _ good song.
We're going to sing it now, right?
[G] _ Wrong.
_ Wrong again.
You're going to sing, I'm going to sing my line.
A house is not a home, you people.
Yeah, I'm going to start it.
You're going to start it?
Yeah.
