[D] Alright guys, something a little bit [D] different today.
I'm going to show you this blues box guitar that I had as a gift for Christmas.
When this came, I had to build it.
It came in like a kit [C] form.
[D] But it comes with everything included, including this little glass slide that I've got right here.
[Dm] Which is really good because some of these that I've seen [Ab] around don't actually come
with the [C] slide.
[Abm] So you have to buy that [D] separately.
Luckily for us, [Bb] with this guitar, it does.
[N]
The body isn't actually wood.
I'm not sure what this is made of.
It feels quite laminated cardboard.
But there's a [D] jack socket on it as well.
So this [G] model is [F] an electric model as [N] well.
And obviously it's only got three strings being a blues box guitar.
[D] [Ab] And these are tuned to G, D [D] and G.
You get a bolt included.
So you use that bolt and you put it through there as the nut.
You get another sawing off bolt that you put down [Eb] here for your [D] bridge.
So the action is really raised as it's a slide guitar.
[Dm] So just another thing about it as well is actually [N] on the neck, the frets aren't actually frets.
They're just painted on or transferred [Dm] on.
[Eb] So all you do [Gb] is you just get your slide, use your [Eb] slide to slide up and down.
[G] [Dm]
[G] [Cm] [Bb] [D]
[C] [G]
And then you get these cool little tunes out of it.
Anything you really want to do.
But the only awkward thing about [N] it is how to hold it.
You have to just kind of like just hold it between your legs.
If you're playing [G] like classical [D] style virtually.
It is really tricky to just grip on.
So that's the only downside I've got.
But you know what, for the money these are, they're absolutely great.
You know, and it just teaches you as well.
If you've never really messed [Bb] about building [Ab] guitars or something [A] like that or [Abm] played [Eb] about
with the guitar that you've [Dm] got.
When they come in kit form [Gm] you learn [A] a lot about how they're [D] actually built.
But yeah, for what it is, I think it's a really cool little [Eb] thing.
[D] And let's say I've [E] got a lesson of mine who's actually [F] got one.
[E] He's been showing me [F] bits and bobs that he's done.
[G]
If you tune it to an [A] open G, you [Gm] can get [C] [D] [Gm]
[G] [Dm] [C] [Bb]
[D] [Bb]
[G]
[Gm]
[G] [D]
[Cm] [Bb] [G]
[Bb] [D]
nice little ones like that.
Yeah, so it's only just a quick video really just to show you what it [Ab] is.
And [D] I use a pick for when I'm playing [F] it.
You can obviously [G] do fingerstyle.
[Dm] [C]
[Bb] [G]
[Fm] [D] They're a nice little addition to your collection.
You can pick these up online.
They're not very [Eb] dear.
[N] But if it's something that you just want to do, just something that you want to build
or just even just explore a different avenue with your guitar playing.
Then yeah, by all means just pick one up and give one a go.
Don't forget to like and subscribe.
Give it a thumbs up and get that bell on.
When you get the bell on, obviously you're going to get all my videos straight to you.
