Start Jamming...
We are at Center Stage Studios in Islington.
We're shooting a video for
The Last Garrison which is our first single.
It's like 8 a.m. very early start
so we're all just kind of chilling.
I've already got my makeup on as you can tell
I look beautiful.
[Dm] Raring to go.
[Bb] [D] [F]
[G] [Dm]
[C] [Dm]
[D] [C] [Dm]
[C] [Bb] So today we're shooting The Last [G] Garrison promo for Anishinaabe.
We've got a setup where it's basically recreating the [C] elements.
The tracks kind of [Am] really starts [E] classical, you know, teeth-grating Shikari.
[G]
There's just a euphoric [F] element which [G] is, I was quite surprised first [Gb] hearing it.
So that was, I guess, what we're trying to capture.
[F] That uplifting, euphoric, that kind of [C] just feel-good, life's great type of vibe.
[Am] [G] [Dm]
[G] So we have a ton of smoke machines that are [Gb]
fogging the [C] place up
and then we've got a few of these bad [Gb] boys that are just kind of pushing some wind around.
[F] Quite a [Ab] lot of crazy lighting.
[G] We've got a rain machine coming in in a little bit.
[F] Yeah, it's going to get [D] wet this afternoon so it should be interesting.
[C] [Dm]
[C] So the video basically has two halves to it.
So we've been doing the bright, [G] happy sunshine [D] section this morning
and it's [Am] been basically blaring these [G] ginormous lights in our [Am] faces
that get roasting hot and filling the room [C] with tons and tons of smoke.
And it's been [A] exhausting.
It's like a sauna in there.
It's like an oven.
It really is [C] outrageously hot.
[D]
As an example, let me show you my boy down here.
Yeah, so we've just had a lunch [Bb] break and now [C] once we've let it settle,
[D] we're going to be going back in the room, doing a few [F] more of the [C] big, bright sunshine shots, [D] I think.
And then we're going to move on to the verses, which is the storm.
So we've got this ginormous route that size off the floor, big [F] fans to blow us.
I think [A] they go about 65 miles an hour or something.
Big rain machine that's going to be [E] blasted in our faces.
So when [A] we're not soaking wet from sweat, we're going to be [D] soaking wet from the wind and rain machines.
That'll be fun.

[C] We've just wrapped the last shot of the music video.
It's just been drying off a little bit.
We got [Am] literally absolutely soaked.
It's good fun.
We've never [C] done anything in any video shoots in water before.
[Am] So it was a new experience.
[C] Good fun.
We already fell over about 10 to 15 times.
Didn't seem to [Am] learn anything.
Just kept going.
But yeah, it was [C] really fun.
All the slow-mo shots and everything look amazing.
[Am] So yeah, just really [Bb] excited to see the [C] finished product.
