$900 to get a guitar this good.
_ In the early 80s, we _ Frankensteined everything together.
_ We were poor kids and we couldn't afford [B] back then a Gibson or something.
_ So we'd get three _ Strat copies and one would have a good neck and one would have a good
body and the other had good electronics and we'd make one guitar out of it.
_ _ _ _ But you'd buy cheap guitars and the frets were terrible.
You had to have the frets milled down flat and even and now [D] you can [A] _
[E] _ _ _ _ [N] _ walk in and walk
out with something this badass.
_ I love it.
_ ESP was very cool about _ taking your stuff _ _ _ _ _ _ out of the box.
I wanted the Les Paul scale, a little slinkier.
_ _ _ The Eclipse body.
_ Everybody goes, why'd you stop playing Vs?
But I only played Vs _ _ _ primarily in the _ _ early _ 2000s.
I played Strats most of my life.
_ And I'm a classic rock guy and I [B] like them.
It's [Ab] kind of that Jimmy Page, John Sykes, _ Thin Lizzy vibe.
It's almost a sexy [G] vibe but in a rock and roll kind of way.
Yeah, it is.
_ Plus, it appeals to more than just your local black metal, death metal, thrash metal guy.
_ _ It's like if you're _ a rock guitar player, who wouldn't want to play this?
It's totally killer.
_ It's got really great visuals. _

I don't like 24 fret guitars.

How far down do you guys tune?
With Slayer we tune a quarter step down, E flat.
And Exodus we tune a full step down. _ _ _
I haven't tuned to this tuning since _ 1985.
It's probably making your ears hurt.
