[Abm] Hey there, this is Rumpel Andrix coming for you from the [N] Daily Funk Club.
I'm hanging out for a few days with Andy Irvine and I'd like to take this opportunity to talk to you about my right hand technique that I get many questions about.
Basically it sounds like a slab but it's a pluck.
Just like a regular pluck with your index finger.
I just have it sitting here underneath the string ready for the attack.
I have a 45 degree angle on the strings.
I rest my pink and my ring finger a bit on the pickups just to have it set in the attack mode.
And I basically just [Bb]
[Ab]
[N] do
So for me this is a great addition to playing regular slab style.
I feel it has a great economy of motion because my fingers are just sitting there ready to attack.
It has a great muting option because if I'm playing with my thumb my index finger mutes at the string and vice versa.
So it's like
it's always
I don't even have to mute with my left hand.
Get that?
