Chords for Expensive Guitar or Expensive Amp?

expensive guitar [Ab] and
cheap [Gm] amp or expensive amp and

so I already have an opinion [Fm] on this [Ab] topic, but I
[G] Really am interested in what you guys have to say [Eb] as well
so make sure you leave a comment on what your preference is and
[G] Why you prefer it of course this [Gm] discussion is predicated on [G] the notion that we live in a world where we can [Gm] choose
To have an expensive piece of equipment obviously not [G] everyone is in the same situation
But [Fm] in a fantasy world where you can [G] have any guitar you want or any amp you want [Gm] would you rather have an expensive guitar?
In [C] a cheap amp or an expensive amp [G] in a cheap guitar you must choose one
What is your choice, and why do you choose it?
I'm gonna tell you what I think so I've talked to a lot of guitar players about [Cm] this
And I've thought a lot about it.
[Fm] I don't know it's just fun to think about I like [G] hypothetical
Situations that involve [Eb] amazing gear and it should go without saying, [Gm] but I'll say it anyways I
Am NOT correct.
This is a [Ab] subjective topic by far
So I'm [Gm] not trying to rile anyone up [C] or am I basically [Ab] I've thought about this [Gm] question and it [Fm] came down to one thing [G] Are we?

Or are we [Eb] amp [Gm] players?
[G] Think we're guitar players having [Ab] an expensive guitar [Eb] and a [G] less expensive amp cheap amp
I'm using the word cheap [Gm] loosely don't take any offense to that language
[Am] I I really believe that having an expensive [Fm] guitar
Makes you pick up [G] the guitar more than if you had a cheap guitar you could have the most amazing [Gm] sounding amp in the world
But if [B] your guitar intonation [G] is off
And it just isn't fun to play or look [Cm] at or feel
Then you're not gonna have a lot of [Eb] incentive to pick it up whereas with an expensive [C] guitar
I just think [Fm] it's so much more fun to not only see it in your [Bm] room and get that feeling
That's a nice guitar, [Eb] but pick it up and play it even [E] without an amp

[Gm] whereas with a less [Gb] expensive guitar

_ [B] _ _ _ Just [Fm] not quite the same feeling I tried to [G] be as fair as possible obviously I [Gm] haven't picked up this guitar
It was in a closet [A] somewhere doesn't even have all the strings on it
But I think [Gm] that's a testament to [G] the fact that I prefer nicer guitars because I just [Gm] have no incentive
I have [Eb] no reason to [C] keep this one [Fm] pristine and nice because it just doesn't do it for me
[G] Tone is in the fingers
You [Gm] can have an expensive amp and have a cheap guitar and get a really nice tone out of it [Cm] of course
But I think [G] what's more important is [Gm] finding your own [Eb] voice on the instrument, and I think it's easier to do that
I'm not [Abm] saying you have to have a high [G] quality instrument to do that
But I think it's easier and more [Gm] fun to do it with a [Gb] higher quality instrument than a lesser one
[Gm] So in a world where you have [Ab] to choose one [Gm] combination expensive guitar [G] cheap amp or expensive [Bb] amp [Eb] cheap guitar
Which one do you choose and [Ab] why I told you why I would [G] choose the expensive [Ab] guitar and the cheap amp
But [G] I could be completely opposite of [Gm] your opinion, and I'd love to hear what you think so please leave a comment

I just need to reiterate there are people who can't afford expensive anything
I have worked really hard my [F] whole life to be able to afford nice instruments, but it wasn't always [G] that way
So don't ever feel like you need an expensive piece [Gm] of gear in order to achieve success as a musician
After all the passion for music is [G] what will make us pick up the [Gm] guitar no matter what it is [C] and plug into
[Gb] Any amp no [F] matter what it is if you have the drive to succeed
[G] Then you will but having some sweet gear along the way never hurt anyone [Eb] did it alrighty guys
