AC Signature Series.
So here's the evolution of the instrument.
The one here was the very first AC Signature Series made in 1991.
You see the main difference.
This one is a neck through compared to this one which is a bolt on neck.
And then you see the headstock is reversed.
So the lobe is further back from the nut.
So all these little things make a big difference at the end.
But you see that the basic concept was there already.
So this instrument became this one here.
And then it became the AC-6 Classic which is another evolution of this instrument
which has a very true acoustic flavor as was shown in the other video.
But this instrument here, since I've been playing it for so many years, it became my sound.
You know, it's my classic sound I would say, but it's my standard sound.
And the AC-6 Classic will give me a true acoustic [Eb] flavor, more of an upright bass sound.
So here's the way I [C] use this one here.
I use most of the time the mag pickup because it's very focused, very solid sounding.
Lots of dynamics, no dead spot on the instrument.
So here it is.
[A]
You see a lot of dynamics, very focused, nice low mid-range.
But also you have piezo on this instrument.
So I can use the piezo.
[E] You see, very warm tone.
You can hear the fingers on the strings.
A very nice low end.
So sometimes I use only the piezo pickup for very intimate sounding.
But you can listen to [C] this.
Piezo only, you dial in the mag pickup a little bit more.
A little bit more, you see the low mid-range appears, becomes a lot more solid.
You can do the opposite.
Start from the kit, the mag pickup, and then you put a little bit of the piezo, and then
the low end, and then it becomes a lot smoother sound.
So you have all the possibility here.
On this instrument I also have a MIDI [E] system plugged in.
So here it is.
This is my sound.
