[D] Def [C] Leppard's Achievement
[D] On October 23, [C] 1995, Def Leppard entered the Guinness Book of World Records by performing
three 45-minute [D] concerts on three different continents, [C] which is one of the band's most
[D] unusual achievements.
_ [G] The concerts were [D] placed in Vancouver, Canada, [G] London, and Tangier, Morocco.
[D] _ The group made the decision to participate in this unusual [G] and extremely difficult event in
[D] support of Vault, Greatest Hits [G] 1980-1995.
On September 5, 2000, their close friend Brian
May of Queen officially inducted Def Leppard into the [Gm] Hollywood Rock Walk of Fame on [G] Sunset Boulevard. _
[Gm] One of the few [G] albums to produce not one, [Gm] not two, not three, [G] but seven hit singles was Hysteria [Gm] by
Def Leppard in 1987.
[C] _ [D] Hysteria has sold more over [C] 25 million copies worldwide, [G] making it [A] Def
Leppard's best-selling album of all time to date.
Additionally, [C] it spent almost three years [G] on the
album charts.
The second album's [D] first song, Bringin' on the Heartbreak, [G] by Def Leppard became
one of [D] the first rock videos to air on [Bm] MTV in 1982.
[D] The song's original working [G] title was
A Certain Heartache, [D] but they altered it.
