Start Jamming...
Yeah, we've been really enjoying bringing back some old songs on this tour and this is one of them.
Okay, I just wanted to say something because I misidentified what Chris is playing when I called it keyboards,
because what he's sitting at is basically the mixing desk.
He's producing the music really while we play it.
That's his role in the band.
He controls the MPC.
What does that stand for?
The MPC [A] is a MIDI production centre, but it's actually just a sampler with all of our studio sessions.
We work in the studio and the way we can bring our beats on the road is on the MPC.
It's a great machine for improvising as well, so he's doing a lot of that.
What I'm understanding is it enables you to be in the same band, whether you're in a recording studio,
a live radio studio like this, or out on a stage at an event.
It's really unusual for you to be in so much control of what the thing sounds like.
Yeah, exactly.
He's the drummer and producer and bass player all rolled into one.
The maestro.
The maestro.
Okay, alright.
Well, here's how Ray Ray goes.
Thank you very much.

because Fat Freddy's Drop never play songs that are less than ten minutes long
These are the real guys.
We've just been holding shotguns against their head and saying
Please, for the radio, can you keep these under five minutes?
And they did a valiant job of it.
Thank you very much.
Wonderful music.
Thanks everybody.
