Hey everybody and welcome to my [Bb] 440
first I think?
[E] Solo guitar [Gm] video on YouTube.
Feels so good, [Bb] Chuck Mangione.
And I'm not sure I can [A] explain why I'm [C] even [A] playing the song, why it's on [Bb] my repertoire.
I do remember the song from [B] my childhood [Bb] and I wasn't particularly impressed at the time.
I [B] was more into rock music and I was not impressed by [Bb] the guitar.
The trumpet didn't impress me at all.
[A] Horns, [Bb] all that old people stuff.
But in later years I was quite impressed that the song, and I'm amazed actually now, that
it [A] actually was in the top of the charts and there was a [Ab] guitar solo [G] in it and it was an
instrumental [Gb] and it was kind of jazz and, [Ab] you know, [D] tastes change and not for the [Am] better
unfortunately these days.
But anyway, I forgot about the song for many, many [Bb] years and was reminded again in the 90s
because I'm a huge King of the Hill fan and Chuck Mangione makes some great [G] appearances
just milking the [Ab] song for all it's [G] worth.
[Bb] He's [G] just very [Bb] self-deprecating and [B] just [G] hilarious.
[Bb] One episode where there's the explosion [G] at the [Ab] Megalomart and he comes, kind of his head
hurts and he's like, I don't feel so good.
It's [Gb] just, it's gold.
[D] Anyway, I was reminded of the song lately again and [A] thought I'd put together a little
[C] song arrangement.
There's a lot of 1, [Gm] 6, [Bb] 2, 5, [C] [Dm]
3, 6, [C] 2, 5, all [Dm] [Cm] in the key and then [Eb] breaks away for a moment
by playing [Bb] this E flat here so not much going [A] on harmonically.
[B] There's a little, [Bb] if you wanted to attempt this, that [A] recognizable little kind [Ab] of conclusion
to the song.
[F]
[D] [Gm] [Am]
[Gm] [F]
[Gm] [C] And that's the song and [Db] [D] I hope you enjoy this because it feels so good.
