I don't want to [N] miss a video not want to miss a video
But we got a brand new artist here on the channel for you guys today.
Tell them we got I'm excited guys
I've been missing my 60s.
So I pulled a song from the late 60s
Which you guys said we're listening to Harry Nilsson and the song is everybody's talking
Like we said brand new have no idea what genre Harry Nilsson Falls in
If you guys are new here, of course, like sometimes you'll hear a name like oh, of course, you've heard that name
Yeah, this is what I've never heard of never heard the name Harry Nilsson and everybody's talking.
Let's go ahead and get it
[E]
[G#m] Everybody's talking at me.
[E] I don't hear words saying
[B] only the echoes of my
[E]
People stop and stare I
Can't see their faces
[B] Only the shadows of [E] their eyes
[F#m] I'm going [C#] well the Sun keeps shining
[E] through the pouring rain
[F#m] Going [B] well weather suits [E] my clothes
[F#m] Banking off of [B] the Northeast [C#m] winds [E] sailing on summer breeze
[F#m] Skipping over [B] the ocean
[E]
So I wasn't [G] expecting
You know something along the country lines with this but when he said rain
I knew my man was from the south, but I love his voice
Because it's not just like [N] rich.
I would say it's like colorful when you say like it has a lot of personality
It's really colorful and I love the country sound to his voice but also there's just like what [Gm] instrument is doing that
[F#] Don't laugh at me for trying to mimic this sound but that beautiful just
Running.
I want to know what instrument it is because I can't I don't really I want to I don't want to be wrong
I know exactly like he has a voice.
It's so it's so subtle and [B] soft and like you said, you know
It's kind of country, you know, you may even get like a little bit of folk in there as well
[E] I'm definitely liking some Harry Nilsson
[B] [E]
[F#m] I'm going [C#] well the Sun keeps shining
[E] through the pouring rain
[F#m] Going [B] well the weather [E] suits my clothes
[F#m] Banking off [B] of the Northeast winds
[E] sailing on summer breeze
[F#m] And skipping over [B] the ocean [E] like a stone
Everybody's talking at me
Can't hear a word they're saying
[B] Only the echoes of my mind
I won't let you leave my love
[E]
No, [F#] [B] I won't let you
[E]
[F#] [B] [E]
[B] [E]
What was that I have no idea
[F]
[N] I don't know.
It almost had like it the dips and yodel in it
but like there was another person in there with him and it was just like
Wow, they would go really high and then they would drop really if so southern y'all it was so country
I loved that
Like I said Harry Nilsson.
He has a very interesting voice
I thought it was soft and kind of subtle but then right there at the end
Took it up and he held that note for so so long and then you know when you get down to the lyrics
No, he said, you know, everyone's talking at me.
No, [G#] they're not talking with me.
You know, they're not helping me
They're talking at me telling me pretty much what I need [N] to do and he's pretty saying, you know, I'm not listening
I'm not gonna leave my love behind and I'm kind of paraphrasing that in part to a bit but overall I really enjoyed it
Yeah, what I think was cool about he had like a very country southern voice
But the music surrounding him I wouldn't necessarily like when it first started it was just music before he sang before I heard that twang
I didn't think yeah, I didn't think I was getting you know, something along the southern routes the southern lines
But no, it was like [G] like I guess you could say folk [N] was more so than music surrounding it
Yeah, that's where I got the full
Yeah, I think that's what it was and whatever that instrument was was probably like what really gave you the folk?
But it was beautiful and it played the entire length of the song but add his twang to it
It was really really cool.
And then you guys also
Mentioned that it was he a writer Harry Nilsson
You said he had some songs that were performed by some pretty big bands
So I would like to know if there are other
Drop down the bands that he wrote.
Well, they did and it's just I can't guys you give me so much information
So many songs and that was so long ago
I can't remember the names of those bands, but I always think it's really cool to see these songwriters
Like you guys think it's here Carole King reaction it was
So I think it's really cool to see
Like songwriters or people who do things more behind the scene and then get to see them come to the forefront because his voice
Like I said, it's colorful.
It is it is really colorful and I could see him like having his own career with just that voice
So individual songs from Harry Nilsson would be cool
But that song was just full of character
All the way from the beginning to end and one thing it kept popping up mid like what is the Midnight Cowboy deal?
I can't kept popping up
You guys help us figure that one
So well as always you guys are gonna have to give us [G#] more help us check out some more
[N] But guys that's gonna be the end of today's reaction video.
Thank you guys for another
Classic banger, but as we always always always send y'all out of here.
