[A] [D] [F] Hey guys, this is another video lesson by Wilson Harwood here.
Today I'm going to show you [G] a Franklin's Tower from what you just saw there.
I've slowed it down a little bit in my rendition of Franklin's Tower.
So we're starting out with our first finger on the 14th fret and third finger actually
on the 16th fret to get a half-step bend.
Instead of the full-step bend, I think the half-step sounds a little bit more like what Jerry's doing.
[F] So I'm just [E] bending it up [F] to the 17th fret as best as you can.
[F#] And then I pull off with my middle finger [E] [G] and hammer on.
And then third finger [F#] slide to the 12th fret.
Some rendition like that, a slide.
[E] And this is one of my favorite parts, just doing some arpeggios with my third finger
barred across the 14th fret on the D, G, and B string.
So we're going to be doing, [A] [E] go straight [A] down or down, up, down.
And then I use my third finger here across just the B and the G string on the [G] 12th fret.
Then kind of making an F shape [N] right here with index finger and middle finger.
Tenth fret and 11th fret.
And then coming to the third finger 11th fret, first finger on the 9th fret, doing some hammer
on [F#m] and pull offs.
[Bm] Pinky.
[E] And then pulling back to my 9th fret, G string, first finger.
So let's try that again.
[Gm] [Em] So just to [B] go over that last little section that's really cool, we got the third finger barred.
[Em] Then third finger barred back.
12th fret.
[B] Index middle finger.
Do it with me slowly from the beginning here.
So here we just have.
[G] [E]
[A] [D]
And now here comes one of my favorite [E] licks here.
We're going to be doing [G#] a slide up the neck and then continuing down a pentatonic scale here.
So slide from 9th to the 11th fret.
[C#]
[E] And that was basically, look, let me slow that down a little bit for you here.
So we're going to do, we're holding that note [C#] from before where we went.
[B] And then we go.
[E] So it's a slide there from the 9th fret to the 11th fret.
[C#]
So slide up.
[B] Slide it back.
[E] [F#] Try that again.
[E]
One [B] [E] more time to clean that up just a little bit.
[B] [C#] [E] Then we go up here.
And do the little slide there.
So slide into that note.
9th fret to 11th fret.
Index finger.
And then [F] index, ring, middle.
[G#] And then this is the funky part that's kind of hard to hear.
Not exactly sure what Jerry's doing there, but it sounds something like this.
[D] [N] Kind of holds it a little bit of a, hits that note and then kind of holds and then does
a little slide half step.
And [F#] so let's try that again.
So it's like.
[D]
[B] Got caught on the fret.
That's [F#] the end of it.
So after you do this little thing here, [C] which is middle, third, [A] third, slide.
So that's going [C#] to be 10th fret, [C#m] 11th fret, [Gm] 11th fret, slide into the 12th fret.
And then we're going to do middle on the 11th fret G string.
[Em] And that's the end of the solo.
[C] Pretty awesome.
Let's try the whole thing one more time here slowly.
[C#m] [G]
[D] [Em] [G] [Em]
[C#] [E]
[Bm] So there [C#] you [G#] go.
That was the last slide.
It's tricky.
So good luck.
If you have any questions,
