[E] [F] Live, up close, and [G] unplugged, here's another live performance [F] from 95 Will Rock [Em] Studio East.
[N] Hi from 95 Will Rock Studio East, we are here with the members of Fuel.
Man, what you don't hear on the air is actually pretty damn good as well.
Or see on the air.
I had no idea the studio audience would be naked.
Right?
And who puts on makeup to do a radio interview?
Guilty.
Now I'm going to call you the gramp of the group, don't yell at me, I'm going to get a lot of hate of this.
But this is your second stretch.
So what's different, if anything, from the first time, which was about 13 years,
and this time, which we're coming up in about four?
The band.
Duh duh Jen.
Besides the obvious.
You know, I was playing with Ray Manzarek and Robbie Krieger of The Doors for a few [D#] years there,
and my manager was also managing me with that.
And, you know, throughout my stretch of doing that, he would always come to me and go,
dude, you should make another Fuel record.
And I was always like, no way, I'm not going to do it.
I'm happy right now, I want to forward steps, and I always felt for a while there, I thought about it as a digression for myself.
And then finally he hit me, you know, with it again, hey, you should do a Fuel record.
And I was like, okay, fine.
But if I do it this time, I want to do it my own way,
and I want to try to reinvent the band and go in new directions.
And that's when I started [D] looking around, and I found Brad Stewart and Andy Anderson and [B] Mr.
Shannon Boone back here,
and [E] we all instantly clicked and started, you know, our goal, which was to make a new record.
And finally we're here.
We're very happy you are.
Now I knew I was going to have to [N] bring the big guns into this interview, so my nine-year-old has a quick question for you.
What's the worst part of being a rock star?
Boy, the worst part of being a rock star.
Now mind you, he already has the answer for you, if you don't want to answer it.
I mean, you know, there's a lot of pros and cons to this business for sure, and it's a very tough business.
You know, there's not very many people make it to this level, you know, and there are a lot of great musicians out there,
and unfortunately it's all about timing at times, you know, to get a career like this.
One thing I can say is the worst part about being on tour as a musician is the instability of not knowing where you're going to poop,
not knowing where you're going to take a shower, not knowing where you're going to eat, and a lot of things like [D#] that right there, you know.
So it's like every day is just a scavenger hunt, so to speak.
That's really cool.
He was hoping that you [F] were going to say the worst part was all the girls that [B] chase you.
Are you kidding me?
I'm raising him right now.
Why would you think that that would be one of the worst parts?
That's the best part.
Right?
So [D#] we heard some brand new music from you.
Are we going to go back a little bit now?
I heard rumors we're hearing something off of Sunburn next.
Let's figure we might as well play the song that started it off [F] for this band.
All right.
Let's put our hands together another [D#m] time.
We've got the guys from Fuel here today, [G] performing live at 95 Bull Rock Studio East.
[B] Scars from the [C#] cold, [D#m] just never [B] slow, feeling [C#] short of staple, [D#m] [B] all that she [C#] intends,
[B] and all she keeps inside is [C#] in on my label.
[D#m] [B]
She [C#] says [D#m] she's a saint, [C#] you can see [B] it take [D#m] me far.
[C#] [B] Can I be a friend?
[C#] [D#m] We'll [B] get past.
Maybe [C#] I'm not able, and I break at [D#] the bend.
[D#m] [G#] Here and now, [A#m] will [B] we ever [F#] be [C#] again?
[G#] Cause [B] I have found all that shimmers in this world is sure to fade
[C#] away [D#m] [B] again.
[C#] [D#m] [B] Strings of champagne [C#] scream, [D#m] strawberry [B] spice, pink linen on [C#] my paper,
[D#m] [B] lavender mainstream, [C#] [D#m] filled up [B] with lies, reality [C#] escapes [B] her.
She [C#] says [D#m] that love [C#] is for [B] fools [C#] that [D#m] fall [C#] behind, [B] and I'm somewhere in between.
[C#] [D#m] Never [B] late now, till I'm [C#] from a safe yard, till I break at the [D#] bend.
[D#m] [G#] Here and now, will [B] we ever [C#] be again?
[G#] Cause [A#m] I [B] have found all that shimmers in this world is sure to fade [C#] away
[D#m] [B] again.

[B] It's [C#] too [D#m] far away [C#] for me [B] to hold, [C#] too [D#m] far away.
[C#] Guess I'll let in.
I'm gonna let in.
[B] Mmm, kio. [C#] Alright.
