Chords for Funk Rhodes Piano Groove: Tune 88

_ Hello everybody, hope you're doing well.
One of the common requests I get is for more Fender Rhodes kind of stuff and
people ask me
recommendations of people to listen to to get more into this kind of funk jazz style that I play and
This tune is both of those things.
It's a guy named Jeff Lorber
_ And it's a tune called tune 88 from his 1979 album water sign if you haven't heard of Jeff.
He's a killer
_ _ Rhodes keyboard piano player who has a similar style.
I think like, you know, it's a pretty aggressive pretty funky
There's some jazz flavors thrown in
I think you'd really like him if you're looking for somebody to check out
The good news is he's got also got a new album coming out in June of 2010 called now is the time
Which is supposed to be a return to these old kind of 70s early 80s funk things that he used to put together
So I'm very excited about that

How cool is that taught me this tune when I was kind of learning some of these styles from him?

This is one of the things I just kind of play on the piano when I have some free time
