[A] Real quick before we begin I'll talk a little bit about amp settings.
Basically
just turn the distortion way up, turn the treble down a little bit, and turn the
bass up a bit.
And basically just mess around with those settings [Ab] until you get
a sound that [D] sounds something like this.
[G] It's a real crunchy kind of bassy distorted
sound.
[Em] And the first chord [Ab] is just a power chord [D] on the fifth fret A string.
[E] Just a D major chord.
[D] [F] And you hit that twice.
[D]
[Em] And then one last time for a total
of three.
[D] [Em] Then you go down to the C which is first finger on the third fret [C] A
string.
[Ab] Hit that once and then back [Dm] up to the fifth fret.
So
[E] [C] [D]
[C] [D]
[C] [D]
[Bb] [Em] and that's played
throughout the majority of the song right there.
Now moving on [E] to the next
part is basically just a small [C] change.
It goes from [D] this [C] which [D]
[C] [Bb]
is just on the
sixth fret low E string.
Three hits again and then hit that one more time.
[A] And then
down to the fifth fret and then back up to [C] the third on the A [D]
all the way up to
the fifth.
So that whole section sounds like this.
[C]
[D] [C]
[Bb]
[A] [C]
[D] [E] [C]
[D] [G]
And throughout the song [A] his
second guitarist or actually Garret Clark himself will go [Gm] like this.
[A]
[Ab] Which is
just first finger on the 10th fret B string and your second and third finger
on [Em] the G string on the 12th and 11th.
So [E] and hitting both of these strings at the
same [G] time.
[C]
[D] And then bending [A] your second and third finger up.
[Em] Just like that.
You
can also alternatively
[G] slide [Dm] up with your second or first finger to the 11th
sorry the 10th fret on the high E from the 8th [G] fret.
So sort of similar.
[Bb] [Am]
[Em] But the
solo is basically in that pentatonic.
[Am] [Dm]
[Am] [Bb] [C]
[G] [Am] He just sort of messes around in there.
So like [D] [Gm]
[Dm] and you sort of make your own
stuff up.
It's really sporadic as most of his stuff is.
But it's really fun to
play and sort of mess around in that little pentatonic create your own stuff.
Obviously he goes out of it now and then but that's the majority of where it is.
Just sort of notes within [Em] there.
Usually on the D and the G [A] string.
[G]
[F] [Bm] You just sort
of mess around with that.
But that's the entire song right there.
It's just [A] those
simple power [F] chords and then the little solo stuff that does in between.
Hope you
guys enjoyed.
