. . which is in the lemon drop finish.
We are also using the Jet City 20 watt combo.
Jet City are designed by Mike Soldano of Soldano amplifiers so obviously with
this amplifier you know that you're getting something of exceptionally
high quality in terms of tone and build if it's got anything to do with Mike
Soldano and on the floor we're using the little Mooer pedal board courtesy of
strings and things.
I'm just using a couple of pedals off of this obviously
there's there's a whole bunch of other pedals on here but we'll talk about what
pedals I'm using to create the tones.
Now first of all let's talk a little bit
about the guitar.
This guitar I did a bit of research on it and it was actually
inspired by Peter Green's famous Les Paul that he was using in Fleetwood Mac
which obviously ended up being owned by Gary Moore and it's it's referred to
as the lemon drop due to the the color of the finish.
It's got some wear marks
on it for authenticity as you can see on the back looks like I've been playing it
all of ten minutes.
Looks like it's been used for many many years it's got some
wear marks around the open position as if I've been you know playing all right
now for days and obviously some wear marks up and down the neck even got a
kind of a little screw hole there as if it's had the the pickguard taken off at
some point.
The pickups there which are Wilkinson pickups I believe are aged as
well they've kind of got that sort of they're not bright and shiny as if you
know they've they've seen a bit of action.
Some mismatched pots as well
it's a mahogany body with a maple cap on it and it's got a rosewood fingerboard
as with all of the the the vintage guitars they have the Wilkinson hardware
on them so you know you're getting a good quality instrument at a very sort
of affordable price and obviously this guitar isn't you know it's not it's not
the original it but it's not the original original but obviously this is
a you know a single cut LP style guitar if you like at a very very very
affordable price.
Next in the signal chain I'm going down to the Mooer pedals
now the Mooer pedals are just absolutely great they're killer little pedals
they're so cheap and all each one of these pedals is kind of based on a
famous pedal the one that I'm using here is the Green Mile which I believe is has
a kind of Tube Screamer sort of vibe to it they don't take batteries so they're
all powered off of there's a power supply here that powers this entire
little Mooer board so you get a little board and all the pedals I think I think
this is being reviewed in the magazine I've chosen to use the Tube Screamer and
then I'm using the Mod Factory which is a modulation pedal which has just got
like so many different modulation effects on it you just buy this click
switch here different kind of chorusing and flanging and whatnot I've got it on
a chorus setting I haven't got a reverb on here so also we like to kind of
record things dry in the studio so some reverb is being added in the post sort
of phase Gary Moore used to use a pretty hefty amount of reverb depending
on what era if you go back to his 80s sound that was you know dripping wet
with reverb and delay and whatnot so I do actually have a little delay pedal
here but the way this is wired in the board it's in line I prefer to put my
delays into the effects loop so we're just steering clear of that for the
moment we got some reverb on here like I said I'm just using the Green Mile
which is kind of like the Tube Screamer and I'm using the Mod Factory and I've
got that on the on the chorus setting moving on to the amplifier
