_ _ [N] _ _ _ _ So this is the first lick of three I'm going to do on Gary Moore.
_ _ And all three of them are like speed licks that I picked up off of a video you can see
online on YouTube, Gary Moore Blues Lessons.
He plays his ES [E]-335 and he's _ such a great [Gb] player.
He just rips these licks off like it's nothing. _
But to us normal guys, it's _ pretty mind-blowing because he's just so clean and so [G] fast.
_ [Gm] _ _ [C] _ _
So I mean I can [Dm] never play as fast as Gary Moore and very few people can.
He's just, he's fast.
So but what we can do is we can get [E] close and we can see [Ab] exactly, well not exactly,
but we can get a [G] rough idea of what [E] he's doing to get those kind of [Eb] sounds.
The way that lick starts is kind of the key to [Em] it, okay?
You know [B] you've got your basic blues [Cm] thing _ _ _ _ _ _ and then he goes [E] into that flashy stuff.
So [Cm] _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ okay, so I'm [Em] only picking three times there.
I'm going to pick [C] that E string _ and hammer on [Cm] everything else _ [Gm] _
and _ _ [C] pick here.
_ [D] _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [Ab] _ [Cm] _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [E] So that's what you want to practice right [Cm] there _ and _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [E] _
try and get that as fast as you can.
[Cm] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ [E] _
Okay, because it just does it again.
[Cm] _ _ _
_ _ _ _ [Bb] _ _ [E] _ _
_ _ _ And then the rest of it is just [Eb] kind of that, _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [A] _ [Bb] I think I, _ [G] there's that blues note in there
too.
[Cm] So _ yeah, [Gm] _ _ _ [Ab] _ [Eb] _ _ _
_ _ _ _ [E] _ _ _ [Db] _
[C] _ _ _ [Cm] _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [Bb] _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [Ab] _ _ _
[Cm] _ _ _ _ [Gm] _ _ _ [Gb] _
[Eb] _ _ _ _ _ [B] that's the basic idea.
_ _ These licks are more, I mean they're [C] super feel licks.
So the [E] notes can change, you know, but just that basic idea is there and the way to start
it is key.
[Cm] _ _ _
_ _ _ _ [E] _ That's the thing to [Gm] practice.
_ _ _ _ _ _ [Cm] _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[E] _ Okay, and remember that's pretty, well all [N] hammer-ons, there's very little picking going
on there, okay?
_ All right, _ yeah, Gary Moore, what can you say? _
_ _ Nobody plays, _ Speed looks like Gary Moore.
Unbelievable guitar player.
_ Okay, all right, hope you got something out of it.
We'll see ya. _
_ _ _ [Eb] _ _ _ _ _
[E] _ _ _ [Cm] _ _ _ _ _
