Alright guys doing another hired request today a song by Oletta Adams called get here
this is one that I'm not familiar with or wasn't I am now but
it
Sounds like this.
Here's the intro
[Bb]
[Gm] [C]
[Bb] [Bb]
It starts over
[Gm] [Cm]
[C] all right, so that's the
[N] Three-part one that I put on YouTube again.
It's a song by Oletta Adams called get here
And the rest of the lessons are on as always web piano teacher
Teacher.com my website for members if you remember you can go on there right now and watch all the videos and learn how to play the
Whole song I even do the piano solo
Towards the middle or the end of it so that's on there as well
I want to contact me to have to do a request for you
The best way to do that is Facebook
Facebook is really easy once you you get an account on there to find me just do a Facebook search for web piano teacher
Twitter .com I'm also on Twitter.
My name is web piano teacher, so let's get to this free [F] part one here
[Eb] And we start with piano here with E flat F
[Bb] In the middle of the piano right above middle C E flat F
And then the right hand is going to come in with B flat F so
All right, so
And I put a little dash there because you're gonna hold that F for a little bit
Okay, then we're gonna do exactly the same thing
You flat F B flat F and hold it out now.
It's different this time so change your pedal
so D F
And then B flat F so this whole first box here goes
Then we're gonna have [Gm] this
[C] All right, this is going to be B flat and D [Bb] together
And then C and [Cm] E flat
back to B flat [Bb] and then down to A [Am] and C and then back to B [Gm] flat and D
So they're parallel thirds meaning their thirds moving in the same direction
And you want to finger that two four and then three [Cm] five [Gm] two four one three [Bb] and then two four
That's better than trying to go
[C] Moving your hand all over the place
[Gm] Now the left hand right here is an open fifth [G] a G and a D right around where middle C is
You play that at the same time you play the B flat and D [Gm] in the right hand
[A] Then you play an F right here on the thumb
You hold that a bit so starting right [Gm] here.
It's
Okay, now right here.
We continue with left hand.
There's a [D] little D that you hear in the [Cm] piano accompaniment so that D is just
Kind of a pickup note leading into this next chord, so don't play it too loudly
All right, so that's a [G] single D
And then here we have [Cm] a C minor chord C E flat and G together
The right hand at the same time is going to have a [Bb] B flat and an E flat up here so play that [Cm] together
Makes a C minor 7 chord.
There's the C minor and the seventh is the B flat
Then we'll play that E flat again
Hold it for a bit and [Eb] then E flat on the thumb
And then D and then B flat
Now the rhythm is ready go
[Cm]
[Eb] [E]
[Cm]
[C] The E flat is not loud here, that's kind of a fill-in note so make the D and the B flat a little [Eb] louder again right here Ready [Cm] go
[C]
That's going to be E flat
Down to D down to B flat
[Bb] And left hand right here is going to have an open [F] fifth on an F and a middle C you play that together
All right, so starting here ready [Dm] go
[Eb] [C]
Three four now at this point
I'm going to go back to the very beginning
Put usually I [N] put an asterisk, but lately I've been feeling like putting a dot so there's a circle dot there
And you're gonna go from dot to dot is what I'm telling you there
So let's go back and go to this dot and go all the way to this dot all right
So let's do that go [Bb] back to the dot start over
[Gm] Sorry right there
Stop right there.
Then we're going to go here because this is where it changes so right at this dot come up here
We have a flat D
E flat D.
You see that?
And then we have
[Cm]
[C] That's as much as I can get on the board now right here.
I [E] have a bracket around the C [Bbm] E flat G
[Cm] That's just because I ran out of horizontal room so the C E flat G are all together as one chord
Not one note at a time as it may look just put it play it all together at the same time play B flat and E flat
on the right hand and
then D E flat
and then a D
That's
[Gm] how you do it.
Let's go from the beginning
[G] all the way through both times.
Okay, two ready go
[Bb]
Four four [Bb]
four [Gm]
[Cm] [C]
repeat
[Bb]
[Bb] [Gm]
[Eb]
