And you, you know, it was just like [E] so good to hear growing [B] up.
Well, we always got along.
There's never been really a time when we were like sibling rivalries ever.
Even [A] she's been an inspiration to me and she always grew up saying how I was a big inspiration
to her, this, that.
But I mean, just the way she does have a natural gift.
It's unbelievable.
[G] Christina's really easy to get along with.
She's very easy to get along with.
She [Abm] really is.
She's a, [E] she's a joy.
How did I feel about her putting videos on YouTube? _ _
Okay, [Abm] absolutely not.
She was like, you need to get off the [B] internet before some creepy man comes and tries to
like track you down.
And my [Dbm] dad was more like, okay, no, this is a good idea.
Let's, [A] you know, see how well she does.
She comes to me with her _ _ [Db] iPod [G] and she's checking her [A] email.
She says [Ab] that there's something wrong with [Gb] my email.
[Dbm] _ _ I [G] delete them, but they're still there.
[Ab] So I take it and I [Am] delete 50 and there's still 50 there, but there are [B] 50 different ones.
And I'm like, [E] delete 50 more.
[A] There was _ [Ab] thousands of emails like [Em] overnight.
So then there was a wedge because I was saying, if it's okay, it's not [E] that bad.
We'll monitor it as close as we can.
I lost.
[Abm] And then things started [Db] happening.
And then you know what I did?

[Abm] She had a hundred thousand.
We said we're going to have a hundred thousand view party.
I mean, I don't know what it is now, but it's [E] in that song.
It was the original big one.
Might have hit 10 million now.
I don't know.
It's in the millions.
[Abm] But that's when it really got to [Dbm] me that I didn't want to stand in the way of if she's
[E] really going to be a good singer and [Abm] have a career of it.
[Dbm] I didn't want to be [Abm] blocking that.
But yet I didn't want to just feed her to the wolves either. _
My mom did not want to move to [Db] LA at all.

_ [Abm] In fact, I asked her even before I started YouTube, hey [Dbm] mom, if anything like ever happened
with my career, do you think [E] that we could move to [Bm] LA?
I said, no [Db] way.
_ Are you crazy?
And then, [A] you know, here we [B] are living in LA.
I thought it was about time.
I think it's really cool.
I mean, because I guess everyone grows up at different [A] paces and I was ready to [D] kind
of be on my own in a sense.
It was kind of cool with me and my dad [Em] chilling and Christiane needed [Abm] to get out there to
work to be in an environment where [E] like musicians are everywhere and the business is everywhere.
So it was really [Db] good.
And I just kind of wanted it ASAP.
My whole family did not move [E] out with me at first.
At first it was just me and my [B] mom because my dad had a [Dbm] job and my brother had a [B] job
and it's like they couldn't just [E] up and leave their job, you know?
[A] I wasn't [G] going to let my 17-year [Db]-old girl daughter come out here by herself.
[A] My dad and my brother didn't move out until [Dbm] a year, year and a half later.
[E] _ So we were apart for a really long time, which was incredibly hard.
It was pretty rough.
I [B] _ flew out [E] a couple times.
[Abm] They flew home for Christmas for three [Ab] weeks.
Well, we've renewed our [B] vows.
We've been married 25 years.
[E] At the Ocean City Beach _ where I [Dbm] engaged her.
_ [B] _ And then when [A] everyone came out here and we were all like as a family again, it was just _
easier to live life, you [B] know?
It's warmer.
[E] _ The weather's a lot better.
My family [B] and I, we love LA.
It's like [Db] I [Gb] _ wouldn't [B] want to live anywhere else [E] other than LA.
[B] I think I would kind of just want to live here the rest of my life.

_ My [Bb] mom, [Eb] she said from the get-go, like, [Cm] you know, when [Bb] we move, I'm just going to be [Cm] a
full-on [Bb] support mom.
I'm [Eb] humbled more than I could [Cm] say proud.
I mean, [Bb] I'm proud of her as far [Dm]

She works hard at [Eb] it.
But I'm_
She stays grounded.
I'm like on three [F] times of breast cancer.
So when I look at her [Bb] and _ I [Eb] see what God [Cm] is doing [Bb] in her life, I'm extremely humbled.
Number one, I was diagnosed in 1995.
So she [Eb] was a year old.
[Cm] My son was too.
[Gm] So that kind of grew. _
[Cm] I mean, I've [Bb] been good.
Praise God.
[Eb] She don't [Cm] come out to me and go, oh!
[Bb] I mean, when she was little, [Gm] when I was diagnosed again, I remember holding them both in my arms.
And I was four, [F] stage four.
So it was not good.
Stage four, that's crazy.
How did you recover from [Gm] that? _
I didn't.
God, I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
[Fm] Because I know there was [G] nothing that they could do for [Bb] me. _
[Eb] Yeah, there were times when even the doctors and the nurses were [F] like, she's doing so well.
Like, [Ab] remember the time with your ankles?
[Bb] _ Her ankles aren't [F] swollen at all right now.
And they called other people in.
Come here, [Eb] look.
[Ab] She's at this stage and [Gm] she had _ a_
She was getting ready [G] to have chemo for the second [Eb] time.
And they had to do surgery on [C] her heart.
[Bb] It's kind of like a part of your life.
[D] It's part of your life.

My necklace, she got that for me for Mother's Day.
