Okay, I'm very, very excited to be showing you the brand new Gibson Darkfire in-hand
description of this beautiful, beautiful piece.
Before we get into exactly what it does, let's start at the top.
We have the Gibson Darkfire headstock with the sort of vintage 1920s, also found on the
mandolin flower pot inlay.
It has the new Roto tuning head tuners, an extraordinarily cool upgraded self-lubricating Teflon nut.
I don't know if it's really easy to see, but man, this thing feels really cool.
Fretboard, extraordinarily smooth, and it has carbon fiber inlays, which I think are,
which look great on this guitar itself.
Carbon [E] fiber inlays, sort of like the classic Block 335.
The setup on this guitar [B] has been completely plecked.
It's the factory computer setup, [D] and there's not a buzz on it.
It's like set up perfectly.
The action, [N] phenomenal, very, very low.
This guitar is the first guitar, the Darkfire, as you know, it's Robot 2 technology, has
an H90, which is like a P90 pickup, but it's minus that pesky single coil hum.
So it's not noisy at all.
Also has the Burst Bucker 3, and as you can see, it's covered in the really cool carbon fiber.
It has a clear, as you can see my fingernail just under there, a clear pickguard, which
sort of adds to this almost satiny finish.
It's a bit glossy, but also satiny, and it really shows the wood coming through.
This is, as you can see, a brand new guitar.
It's never been played.
Has proprietary new bridge part, as you can tell.
I don't know if you can see that, but it's self-lubricating saddles, it almost looks
like, and it fits in there perfectly.
It has an intelligent bridge, sort of like the first Robot, and then up here is the new
master control knob, which allows you any sort of tuning scheme you can imagine.
It's definitely more in-depth than the previous Robot, and then you have the bridge volume,
neck volume, and tone buttons, sort of like a vintage SG, and they move flawlessly.
Another thing that's really cool in this guitar is you have the option of having bridge humbucker
only, neck pickup only, or you also have this piezo acoustic blend control, which as you
can see, let me do this here, you can blend that signal into whatever pickup combination you want.
It's a new feature, so you really are able to get absolutely any tone that you can want
out of this thing.
I'm going to do a little demonstration here of the tuning itself.
So to get the guitar in tuning mode, you lift up this tuning knob, the master control knob,
which I've already done.
I only have two hands, so hold on one second.
And then what you're going to do is you're going to push the knob in.
See I'm going to do that.
Do that, go into A tuning, and that opens up tuning mode.
You can see all of the lights are red.
Now if you guys have had the original Robot, just watch how fast this is compared to the previous Robot.
[D] And it's already done.
You can see the tuning thing is blue, and that was just extraordinarily fast.
And it's dead in tune.
It's amazing.
Let's do it one more time.
E, push the button for tuning mode, and [E] perfect.
Very fast.
I just dropped two steps in tuning in a blink of an eye.
Flawless.
Hear that tone?
No buzzing whatsoever.
Perfect setup.
[N] We'll go ahead and push this button in.
That lets it into play mode.
The computer actually is still on.
And down.
Then on the back, it has the intelligent computer, sort of like the original Darkfire.
I'm not going to show the headstock here because of the serial numbers, but this Darkfire will
be like the others that I will be offering.
It comes with the limited edition, first run.
Very helpful that it's upside down.
Darkfire case.
Limited edition, first run.
Has the trusty Gibson USA.
Comes with the warranty card and all of the beautiful candy that you get out of this warranty.
Then it has the rebate to get the actual RIP interface.
You can record directly into it.
The Darkfire charger, robot guitar interface thing, charger, and nice little cable.
Then, yeah, this is the brand new Gibson Darkfire.
Absolutely phenomenal.
It comes in this really cool, really heavy duty lined Gibson gift box, I guess.
Looks perfect underneath the Christmas tree.
[E] How cool is that?
Perfectly tuned.
